"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?"
— Luke 12:25-26 (NIV)
If you told my 10 year old self that when I get older, I would be faced with a lot of spiritual downs and a few spiritual ups in life, I would be scared of you. I would overthink about it before I go to sleep and be worried all the time. I would stay away far from you because I don't want to be near someone who gives me negative vibes. I might even be traumatized by what you said.
I won't like you, I might hate you. But you know what? When I get older, I would realize what you said and tell myself, "You were right."
Me, being possibly depressed during that point of time, might have jumped off a building as soon as I said that. But that didn't happen.
I lived. I was close to God, I strayed away, I came back, stayed away and then came back to Him. That is the story of my life. A story of a former Lukewarm Christian.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
— Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
If only I was sure of my faith back then, some part of me says my obstacles in life wouldn't have happened.. right? But can we really avoid suffering?
"Blessed are those who suffer for doing what is right. The kingdom of heaven belongs to them."
— Matthew 5:10-12 (NIRV)
