Chapter 1
"Why would you go this far, defending those weaklings, whom did nothing good to you but cause a lot more pain than before?" Gaara asked Naruto as the both of them are breathing heavily due to the exhaustion that they received from their previous battle.
Naruto stared at Gaara for a second, then smiled at him making the red haired kid stare in shock. Naruto then stared at the sky, posture calm but his eyes held fear as if knowing that that would be his last with the red haired kid. "Its because I wanted to protect them, ya know. Even if they see me as a nuisance, I still wanted to protect them no matter what they say or what they do, it doesn't change the fact that I deeply care for them."
Right after Naruto said that, two suna ninjas appeared right next to Gaara's body.
"Gaara!"
"T-temari... K-kankuro..." Gaara whispered.
"Ya know, I believe that its time for you to get going. Konoha ninjas are already on their way *coughs up blood* h-hurry now..." Naruto said.
Temari hesitated, but nevertheless agreed to Naruto. She nodded and mouthed a thank you before taking off with her siblings.
Just then Hatake Kakashi, his sensei arrived just in time watching the retreating forms of the three genin team of suna. He was gonna go after them but was immediately stopped by Naruto's coughing.
He immediately turned to see the blonde's heavy breathing. Watching the blonde's current situation, he started panicking but still managed to compose his posture.
"Ka-kakashi s-sensei, please don't go after them... I managed t-to save the village, this will help s-strengthen the alliance between suna and konoha... *coughs up blood*" Kakashi looked horrified as Naruto coughed up blood.
"Naruto, hang in there okay? I'm gonna bring you to the hospital. Don't give up okay?" He said as he picked up the blonde and started jumping back towards Konoha as fast as he could.
"I'm sorry Kaka-nii" his last words before he falls to a deep slumber.
