Rain drummed against the camp, Leaking through the cracks in the warrior's den, Water dripped on to the cats' heads. Ashcloud felt a small drop. He blinked awake and glanced around, The rain suddenly started to grow harder, It poured,

Ashcloud shook off the cold water droplet that he had gotten again, He curled up tightly and slept,

Sandstorm narrowed her eyes at Scourge, "How dare you..." she whispered. Lashing her tail, Scourge laughed, "For what?" he spat, "I'm just making sure she does what I want," Sandstorm stiffened, "Does what?" she whispered.

"You'll never know! You're too pathetic! Hahaha!" cried Scourge, He unsheathed his long curved claws, Sandstorm stiffened, "No! Don't hurt the clans!" she yowled,

"Ah, I will," whispered Scourge, He slashed his claws against Sandstorm's face, Then he turned and walked away, "I will," he repeated.

Sandstorm glanced up weakly, Then she rested her chins on her paws, Misery curled into her heart, Making it feel like a heavy stone.

"How can we save the clans?" she whispered.

Ashkit glanced up, His mother Spiritflight had a worried expression on her face, She grasped Ashkit in her jaws and raced away, Something chased her, She pushed her haunches and leaped on a tree branch, Ashkit swayed and wailed,

Spiritflight skidded to a halt when she was trapped against 12 trees. They surrounded her,  The cat came and crouched, Spiritflight placed Ashkit down, She trembled, "Please, What did I do to you?" whispered Spiritflight,

"Nothing! Just want to make your kit miserable!" snarled the black she-cat, She gained closer,

Ashkit trembled against his mother's leg, Spiritflight licked his head, "I'm sorry, my beautiful son..." she whispered.

The black she-cat launched, Spiritflight yowled and slashed at the she-cat, But the black cat ducked and slashed at her throat, Spiritflight choked,

The she-cat fell, The black she-cat stood in triumph.

"You... killed her..." whimpered Ashkit.

"That's right!" smirked the black cat,

"What's your name MONSTER!" cried Ashkit, Tears spilled from his eyes, "Ah, My name's Lillifer," smirked Lillifer,

"I'll kill you next, If you stay!" laughed Lillifer, Ashkit ran, His paws thudded against the ground, He burst into the camp, "Ashkit? Where's your mother?" asked Brightstar, Picking him up by the scruff,

"She's dead! She was killed by Lillifer! A rogue!" wailed Ashkit,

Brightstar stiffened, "Lillifer..." she muttered under her breath, "We'll get her!" meowed Brightstar. She ran out, A few warriors followed the leader,

Ashkit glanced around. Whitetail waved her paw, "Come," she mewed,

Ashkit walked to the queen and rested on her, He watched as Fallenkit lay resting peacefully, Her eyes were closed. Whitetail licked Ashkit's head and purred.

Ashkit sniffed the queen, She smelled just like his mother, His eyes watered at the memory, He rested against the queen's body. Sighing with sadness.
