The synopsis looked cool,
The cover beautiful too,
Admiring the book,
I bought it away.
It smelled like home,
All cozy and warm,
Sniffing the book,
I bought it away.
Claustrophobic of the world,
A much needed escape,
An invitation from the book,
I bought it away.
My heart's a cynic,
The mind way too realistic,
The book screamed romance,
I still, bought it anyway.
The hues of Hogwarts,
Or the shades of grey,
The tortured soul of Heathcliff,
Or Augustus' carefree ways.
Sherlock or Poirot's smarty pants,
Or Jughead's dumbass on a plate,
All these characters are like night and day,
But you buy them all anyway!
