There was a girl in her garden who was always there, reading, gardening, and waiting. The girl was sad and alone and wanted someone to share her life with, so she planted some butterfly bushes so she could make some little butterfly friends. There was one butterfly in particular that always flew up to her and seemed like it wanted to be friends. The girl would smile and draw her butterfly friend and wonder why her only friend was a butterfly.
Alfie POV
Everyday this girl would frolick all cutesy in her garden and I wanted to be with her. I would always fly around and she would paint me and it was the best feeling in the world. Whenever I looked at her, my little butterfly heart melted. I spent my days longing for hands and feet to just sweep this girl off her feet and carry her away into the sunset so we can live happily ever after.
I flew around and around the girl's head and landed on her shoulder, she smiled and looked back to her book. The garden was a peacful little place with many roses and flower bushes that warmed the girl's heart. "I'm not sure if we've properly met, but my name is Zoe Sugg," the girl spoke to me. My heart filled with warmth and I tried to respond, but couldn't as I was a butterfly. "Who am I even to be talking, youre a butterlfy for petes sake. Why do you stick around me little butterfly, huh. No one likes me except you. My own parents and brother disgrace me and kicked me out to live with friends, but I don't have any except you, little butterfly." My butterfly brain cried over and over. I wanted to tell her all about butterfly world and all the fun things that happen there and how my life wouldn't be complete without her. I flew around her head 2 times, my signal that I was leaving and then flew back to my home flower and fell asleep through the cold night.
"Why hello there, I'm the witch of the west, and I couldn't just hear your thoughts and see that you like that zoe girl. Well I can make your dreams come true, BUT you can't ever tell her that you are actually a butterfly or that a witch in the west exists." I woke up to this valleygirl-like voice of a guy and saw that it actually was the witch. Ok but how long will it last I thought to this witch. "As long as you don't tell her about your secret. If you do, you turn back into your butterfly seld forever and be forced to make clones to remind her of you. Deal i said in return. "OKAy" The witch cast green smoke from his fingers and i span around and around watching the world become smaller and smaller as I grew into a human, my wings dissapeared and hands and legs replaced them. "OMG thank you," I said with my new voice. "No problem," the witch said, but you need a name. "I've always thought of myself as an Alfie," I proclaimed. "lol ok" the witch responded.
Smiling I ran off into the world to befriend Zoe. I rang her doorbell, nervous and messed around with my hands. "Hi I'm Alfie Deyes, your uh new neighbor," I just wanted to say hi and wanted to know if you maybe wanted to hang out sometime, like get a lunch or something, so I can get to know my neighbor." I stuttered. "Aw, Alfie, that sounds nice. I'm availible tomorrow if you wanted to go to Nando's or something." Zoe said. She smiled and I blushed slightly looking down. This was my first coversation with her and my world was already turned the right way up. Being around Zoe made my stomach flutter like a butterfly. "Well yeah I guess I'll see you tomorrow then,"
Accomplished, I walked off to the community garden near Zoe's house and grabbed two oranges and put them in my pocket. There was something in there, and opening it, there was a wallet with money, a photo ID, a debit card, and a note. This money is all yours and the debit card never runs out, so you won't need a job. Your house is located two houses away and the code to the lock is MAY4. -Witch of the West. I smiled, and remarked outloud at how nice this witch person was. Walking to my new house, I opened the door to find a nice cozy cottage fully furnished with food in the refridgerator and everything. I wanted to see if there were any butterflies near by maybe so I could see some of my kind, so I jogged around the little town, but there were none to be seen. The witch's voice appeared in my head, "There are no butterflies anymore, Alfie. Zoe doesn't need the butterflies to keep her company, she's got you now." Blushing in public, I walked home, the oranges in my pockets weighing down my walk as I trotted into my house and fell asleep on the bed.
