"I CANNOT BELIVE YOU RIGHT NOW, DAD." Nikki screamed, her voice ringing throughout the small house. Pepper looked worriedly from where she was, in the kitchen, preparing of dinner.

"Morgan, go to your room." Tony instructed at his youngest daughter, about to know what was about to happen and the huge argument that was about to escalate. Morgan was a child, and Tony didn't want her to see her older sister and her father fighting ; to whom she both looked up to.

The girl nodded, running up to her bedroom. Tony gave Nikki an annoyed look. "We are not doing this, Nicolette."

Nikki gulped for a moment when she heard that Tony had used her full name instead of the name that she normally came by. But that short sense of fear was immediately replaced by anger.

"We have a chance, dad! A chance of—"

"No, Nicolette. We will not speak of this again." Tony interrupted, starting to make his way out of the conversation. Now, Nikki was really mad.

"No, Dad! I am so sick and tired of pretending like everything is normal! Five years, dad! Five freaking years, I keep pretending that Peter being gone doesn't affect me, but it does! Everyday, I wake up, feeling this- this missing piece of myself and just pretend like it's okay! I am tired, and sick at mad about how we're dealing with this situation!" Nikki screamed. There were tears starting to come out of her eyes, and she couldn't help but let it all out. She was tired of acting strong for Morgan, Tony and Pepper, but in fact, she was just a person who was shattered and broken inside.

Tony was now facing her, with an unreadable expression plastered on his face.

"And now— there is finally a chance to bring them back. But you just rejected it?" she cried out. "When I saw Scott, Natasha, and Steve, you know what I saw?" Nikki asked rhetorically. "I saw the same sadness that I saw in myself. Dad, we are not the only people who've lost people, but the whole universe! And seeing Scott like that, with so much hope plastered on his eyes, gave me a sense of hope.  They came to you because they knew you were a person that they could trust on, and you had the intelligence to make a difference! And dad-" Nikki's voice started to break.

"I know you miss him. And whenever I do the dishes and see the picture of the three of us together, I constantly get reminded of how important he was to me and you." Nikki stated. "So dad, please, just please, give Scott's idea a chance." she snapped, starting to stomp her way towards her room.

Pepper was leaning on the chair that was beside their table, and couldn't help but feel sadness for her daughter. Tony was standing in there, his own eyes now also starting to well up. He stared at Pepper for a brief moment before announcing that he needed to go to his garage.

Nikki was right ; he needed him back.

A soft knock was heard from Nikki's room. "I told you mom, I'm not hungry." she stated before looking back into her work on research more about quantum physics. If Tony didn't want to do it, then she could at least try researching more about quantum physics. "It's me, Morgan." Morgan stated in a cute accent only kids her age had. "Can I come in?"

Nikki's heart immediately softened when she had heard the voice of her younger sister. The little girl had a soft spot in her heart, and Nikki couldn't resist her.

"Come in," she called out, starting to set away her gadgets that she used for all of her research. "Daddy said go to the garage, he wanted to show you something." Morgan stated in her usual sweet voice. Nikki nodded and decided to come to her dad; it had been a few days since she had last talked to him after their huge fight. She would only come out of her room to eat, use the bathroom, or get some books that she needed for research.

"Ok, tell mom I went to dad, okay? I love you." Nikki stated, giving Morgan a quick kiss on her forehead and walking towards their garage. In all truthfulness, she had felt a little guilty for taking back to her dad that way. It just seemed like all of the emotions she had held in for so long just came pouring down.

She knocked at the door a few times before coming in. There were a few sounds of metal clanking against each other, so she knew that her dad was up to something. Walking her way towards the sound, she saw her dad, holding the shield he had got from Steve after their fight.

"Oh, didn't see you there." Tony said, putting the shield back down on the table before leaning against in and facing her. "So, I thought about what you said a few days ago." he started, pacing around in the room.

Nikki let out a heaved sigh, looking down at her shoes. "I know dad. I let my emotions get into me and I said some stuff that I didn't mean to say. I'm sorry."

Tony pretended to be confused. "That wasn't actually the response that I wanted to get, but here's my decision on it. I thought about it a lot, and you were right. I need him back. Now, help me with fixing Steve's shield , since he needs it." Tony smiled.

Nikki felt a huge wave of joy crashing throughout her body. "Thank you, dad. Thank you so much." she smiled and started to hug her father. Tony let himself into the hug, since he missed holding her like that. After a few minutes, Tony had let himself go.

"Now, do you want to know a little more about Vibranium?" he questioned, looking down at Steve's shield that his father had made for him. The scratches on the shield and the little dents reminded him of how they both fought, but he was willing to go and remember all of that.

His daughter was right, he would make a difference.
