The walls had melted all around him, the screams of torture echoing through the red muscle-like coloured halls that were decorated with bones and victims.
He was no longer in the Death Knight's chambers, where was he then?
Was this hell?
Had he died?
The last thing BJ Blazkowicz remembers was grabbing the Spear of Destiny, which still now was held firm in his right hand. The Spear of Destiny was the holy lance that pierced the side of Christ while he hung on the cross. He had been tasked with retrieving this spear from the Nazis in order to halt Hitler's belief that he had become invincible with it by his side. It is said that it has great power within it, and that whoever wields it cannot be defeated. It was rather obvious why Hitler would steal it from Versailles, it was also rather obvious that the allies needed to steal it back. Blazkowicz was beginning to realize the true evil that beckoned within the Third Reich. Hitler liked to play his hand at the occult, the spear being no exception, and Blazkowicz liked to stay out of it, as much as he could. Blazkowicz attached the spear to his uniform on his back, and pulled his machinegun back out.
Whatever was going on, he knew he'd probably have to kill something.
Blazkowicz took careful steps around the bloody corners, scouting his surroundings, looking for someone or something else that was moving. While doing so, a demonic whistle of sorts grew louder behind him.
"Step back, scum." Blazkowicz commanded the spirit before him. There wasn't much Blazkowicz could make out, except the SS cap on it's head, letting him know he was probably the one who put this ghost here.
"Don't make me gun you down again, moron." He threatened, the deceased nazi floated a step closer before Blazkowicz unloaded a round into the incoming spirit, making it shatter into dust. Blazkowicz felt a bit of relief to see that the spirit could actually die, he didn't know what would have happened if his machinegun hadn't worked. Just then, the same demonic whistle sound occurred, and the spirit of the SS guard once again formed in front of Blazkowicz.
"What the hell?" He backed up and fired at it again, making it shatter once more.
He looked around, almost waiting for it to appear again when he heard the whistle not once, but a few times stacked. He turned to see three more deceased SS guards closing in on him.
"I gotta get the hell out of here." He muttered, before booking it the other way, firing at the spirits as he did. Whistle after whistle, they kept coming, and Blazkowicz kept blowing them away with 7.62's as he ran through the repetitive and horrific corridors. As Blazkowicz walked backwards firing at the approaching spirits, a voice echoed from behind him.
"Prove your worth, human." The demonic apparition spoke. Blackowicz immediately turned around to see a red oversized gargoyle-looking demon down the hall. Whatever this thing might be, Blazkowicz knew that this was what he had to kill.
The hell spawn shot a green orb out of its hand that flew toward Blazkowicz before he jumped behind the wall, getting out of its way just in time. This was new, though the Nazis always seemed to have a fetish for such things, Blazkowicz did not ever think he would come face-to-face with an actual demon. A spirit approached him, he fired sending it to God knows where, and then jumped out from behind the wall, firing a few rounds at the demon.
After his shots hit, he had to hide back behind the wall again to avoid another green projectile. This was useless, he thought, dropping the machinegun on the ground and pulling out his minigun, or chain gun as he liked to call it.
"Now this'll do some damage." He grinned at the sight of it, thinking of all the Nazi scum he mowed down with it. It's sure to do some damage to this abomination.
