"Mom it's not that big of a deal." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay fine it's not a big deal." Mom shrugged and I looked at her confused.

"It isn't?"
"It isn't." Dad could hardly believe his ears.

Mom nodded "Yeah it's not a big deal. But what is a big deal..... that you came home at almost midnight!" Her voice gradually got louder and louder.
"There She is." Dad folded his arms.

"Mom I'm sorry." I walked up to her.
"Malia I don't want you to talk anymore. Go to bed and get some sleep, we'll talk about this in the morning." She interrupted me.

I sighed and I dragged my feet up the stairs.
When I was walking down the hallway, I heard Zacks bedroom door creak open and his head peeped out.

I ignored him and carried on walking to my bedroom.
I reached to my room and I sat down on my bed, taking my jacket off as well.

"Mal." Zack came to my room and he was wearing his footy pyjamas.
"What's up? Why're you up so late?"

He rubbed his eyes "I can't sleep, I had a bad dream."
I didn't respond back for a few seconds but I opened my arms wide and Zack jumped into my arms.

"Can I sleep in your room tonight?" He looked up at me and asked.
I nodded "Of course you can."

We both laid down and I wrapped us both in the blanket.
I wrapped my arms around Zack.

Before I was about to turn the lamp off, I saw mom standing by my door. She gave me a smile and I gave her one back.

"Goodnight." She mouthed to me.
"Goodnight." I mouthed back to her.

When she was gone, I slowly shut my eyes and I began to fall asleep.

~

"Uncle Zack will things always be this way?" I stood forward.
I was in the school hallway.

Someone's hand touched my shoulder and I didn't even have to look at who it was to know.
A small smile formed on my face.

"How did you know I was here?" Uncle Zack stood right next to me with his hands behind his back.
I looked at him and smiled "Because you're always here, you're always looking out for me."

"And the other me too." He corrected me.
Mom.

"Do you miss mom?" I asked him.
He shook his head "I can never miss her because I know I'm always by her side even if she can't see me."

"I don't miss the pain either. The pain we all were put through."
Uncle Zack pointed ahead in the middle of the hallway.

I saw something.
It was the moment Uncle Zack got stabbed by that dealer Josh.

"What's that?" I asked him worriedly.
"Its a memory."

He looked at me right after he said that "memories aren't always good, they can be bad as well."

Uncle Zack then looked at the clock and his eyes widened.
"I need to go." He said and he rushed to the janitors closet. There was a bright, white light in the closet.

I ran after him but when I opened the door, he was gone.
"Uncle Zack? Uncle Zack?"

~
"MALIA!" The teacher slammed her books on my desk and I immediately woke up.
I looked around and everyone in the class started laughing at me.

I fell asleep?

I rested my head on the desk again but the teacher shouted again.
"Malia Dolan!"
"What?!" I covered my ears.

She pointed to the door "To the principals office!"

I rolled my eyes at her and I dragged my feet to the door, dragging my backpack behind me.
I started walking to the principals office and yes...Principal Hosey.

I knocked on the door but without her saying anything, I barged in.
"Yes?" Principal Hosey replied.

"I've been sent here." I said bluntly and I sat down on the chair.
"Why what's going on?"
Yep she's still clueless.

"I don't know." I shrugged and then yawned.

"Yas-I mean Malia." Principal Hosey corrected herself.
Did she almost call me my moms name? LOL!

"I taught your mom and she was just like you but she had big aspirations."
"Such as?" I asked.

"She wanted to change the world." Principal Hosey Laughed.
Just. Like. Me.

"Let me guess." Miss Hosey put herself forward.
"Do you have an Ethan as well." She whispered and laughed.

Well you could say that.

"My mom and Dads relationship is very different compared to others and I think that's something special between them. Nobody can replace them." I said.
She nodded "Of course. Your mom, Uncle Grayson, Aunty Allison, Dad and your Uncle Zackary were such a delight to teach."

"You remember them all?" I smiled.
Miss Hosey Laughed "Of course I do. I'm not that clueless."
My eyes widened and I couldn't help but laugh.

Yep!

"Can I go now please?" I sighed and she nodded.
"Yes But no more sleeping in class." Miss Hosey pointed at me.

I quickly turned around to face her and I raised my eyebrow.
"How did you-"
"Your mom used to get in trouble for it as well. I would know because I was the one who used to send her to the principals office." She chuckled.

I smiled.
Maybe she's not all clueless?

I opened the door and I stepped out of her office.
The second I turned around, I was faced with Aidan.

I jumped a little and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Gosh Aidan, you scared me."

"What are you doing after school?" Was the first thing he asked me.
I shrugged "I'm going to the library to study for an physics test."

"Boring!" He rolled his eyes.
My jaw dropped and I got a little annoyed with him.
"I was gonna suggest you to come with me but if you think it's so "boring" then you can go home and help your mommy pick out her wedding dress."

I stormed off and he started following me.
I heard him chuckle a little. "Nah she'll use the same wedding dress she wore all the other 5 times."

I turned around to face him and I crossed my arms.
"What's your point?"
"That I'm not going home, flicking through catalogs and helping Evelyn pick out wedding drapes."

"Well your house is literally a mansion so there must be something else you can do." I answered back.

He crossed his arms and took a step forward, coming closer to me.
"You just love to have the last word don't you?" Aidan grinned.
I pursed my lips and shrugged.

"I saw how you got out of trouble with Hosey, I bet you do the same thing with your parents." He said.
I scoffed "Yeah I had to get out of trouble because you dropped me off home at midnight."

"Well it's not my fault your parents are over protective." He chuckled.
"Well it's not my fault that your a complete asshole, oh wait. That sounds like a personal problem." I fired back and his jaw dropped.

Aidan didn't answer back but as I walked back to class, I heard him clapping.
"Wow! Ladies and gentlemen, Malia Dolan." He clapped and started cheering.

I couldn't help but smile and I blushed a little.
