Chapter 1: Sarah's Death

In 1988 Smithsville was the Calmest town of the year! As the school year was finishing up, Lana, Brayden, Sarah, And Cole were planning the greatest summer they could imagine. Going to the beach everyday, Eating fast food whenever they wanted, and the more cool stuff a 16 year old would want.
The day after school ended. Lana and Cole were hanging out Waiting for Brayden And Sarah to arrive. As Brayden was getting ready he happened to be watching the news "As the sun rises, We have found the mutilated body of Sarah Reynolds According to the parents a man broke into her window kidnapped her and shortly after the police found her body in a lake. Her throat was slit, she was stabbed approximately 25 times" The news anchor said. Braydens eyes opened with tears. He fell down with Sadness and Anger. He quickly called up Lana and Cole and as they heard the news they too felt anger and sadness. They met up at 8:00 pm at The diner. As they ate up their burgers and fries, and drunk their milkshakes and soda. They discussed how they would try to find out as much as possible of her death and tell the police as they thought it would have a better chance of them finding her murderer. As they gathered all they knew about Sarah, they had one last obstical... her parents, Lana, Brayden, and Cole all asked Sarah's parents all the questions they could think of. After that, they all went to the police station. They spilled the beans on her, they didnt leave any detail out. "Thanks for all the information about her. We are going to investigate more on her death and some suspects that could have possibly been involved of her murder" The Policeman said. They all went to Cole's house. Fortunately they knew the drill by heart, sneak in by the front door, tip toe across Cole's fighting alcoholic parents. Scurry up the stairs and dont make a sound or else the parents would go crazy on them. As they got to Coles room Cole. Lana, and Brayden all layed in the middle of the room. Saying what their ideas of the great summer they wanted. "Ya know I made a reservation at the steakhouse all the rich people went to, I saved all up the money to make one on Sarah's birthday -june 26th". Lana said. "I got us all tickets to the Madonna concert we all wanted to go to". Brayden said." "I got my uncle to let us go to the Waterpark for free." Cole said.

This is a picture of Sarah at a sleepover with Lana a couple months before her death. The last words Sarah said to her friends were: "I love you guys, and I hope to have a great summer with you amazing people". As all of them remembered Cole and Brayden started to tear up as Lana started crying uncontrollably. Brayden hugged Lana when Cole heard his drunk mom coming up the stairs calling out his name COLE!.....COLE!I KNOW YOUR HERE. Cole's mom said. Guys sneak out of the window quick! Cole said. When they got out of the house. A sigh of relief ran through them as they merely missed something horrible. Well let's just hope for the best that they find whoever murdered Sarah. Lana said......
