backstory: charlotte grew up in north carolina with her family and her parents both worked for SHIELD. when she was very young, she was taken by HYDRA and experimented on, that's how she got her powers. however, when she was fifteen, charlotte was rescued by SHIELD and she returned back to she family. it was hard for a while to re-adjust, but she would eventually learn to somewhat control her new powers. as soon as charlotte was old enough, 21, she applied for a job at SHIELD and worked there until SHIELD fell in 2014. she was unemployed for about a year, that's when her nightmares of being experimented by HYDRA came up. just before the events of age of ultron, she was hired by Tony Stark to become an Avenger. In that time, Bucky Barnes was found and rehabilitated to also become an Avenger.
