Chapter 1 : An Unexpected Guest

It's the break of dawn, we are all getting ready to go out on usual patrols. We began to load up the trucks with weapons and cargo crates, as we have been planning to raid several buildings beyond the border for food and supplies for a while.

Then I hear the Anthony say : "Time to rap it boys!"

As our head of operations, he makes sure that we are on time and that everything goes according to plan.

Katy, John and I all climb into the humvees and make our way through the safe zone to reach the gate. Once we reached the gate several drones were sent out to do a quick recon of the surroundings. After we got the green light the massive gates began to open for us, once we were all outside of the gate we each set out for our marked targets and the mission began.

It took us about 30 minutes to reach our target, a building directly across from the remains of Big Ben. St Thomas's hospital, upon arrival we left two men outside to gaurd the entrance while the rest of us entered the building.

As expected it was dead silent inside, however I had gotten an off feeling about the place since we walked in. The 3 of us decided that we would be able to collect more supplies if we split up, so I took the floor above us while Katy and John took the left and right wards. As I went from door to door I wasn't able to find anything.

However I did notice that in all rooms there was a trail of some kind of black fluid, out of curiosity I had decided to follow it until it reached the elevator . As the trail had just stopped at the foot of the doors. So I decided that I would investigate the situation further, so I callled the elevator down to see if it lead into the the elevator.

But for some odd reason it didn't continue into the elevator either. So I proceeded to enter the elevator and decided to investigate the floor above me.

As the doors closed and I began to rise suddenly several massive spikes made of the same black fluid shot out of the floor, at the same time I could hear a high pitch screeching coming for above me. Which was followed by the sounds of scratching and sudden dents with in the celling hatch.

I began to panic so I tried to get the elevator to stop on a lower floor, however one of the spikes had completely destroyed the control panel. So I aimed my rifle at the celling hatch, hoping that hatch would hold out for a little longer.

Then the worst happened, the hatch dropped to the floor and it jumped down into the elevator standing directly opposite from me. It was a tall dark, deformed and unnatural figure which stood staring at me for a brief few seconds, then at a moments notice the doors slid open for behind my back and I fell to the floor, I quickly turned around and started sprinted for the stairs. The creature chased after me down the narrow corridor, then I noticed a exit in the wall so I made a sharp turn into it. As I came around the corner of the exit, I realized it was the stairs and fell down as I wasn't expecting such a drop.

While I was trying to get up the creature had caught up to me and was standing directly in front of me. It then leaped straight for me, so I quickly grabbed my rife and shot it in the forehead. Upon getting shot in the  forehead it suddenly disappeared.

Then Katy and John quickly came to my position after the hearing the gunshots, only to come to the sight of me limbing down the stairs.

"what happened, are you ok?!" Katy asked

"I fine." I answered as they rushed to help me get to the humvee so that we could leave.

Once we were in the humvee, I proceeded to explain what happened and how some creature had attacked me.

We then made our way back to the safe zone. Once we entered the zone we immediately drove to the Head quarters which was located in the center.

When we reached the head qauters we immediately made our way to Anthony, who was in the control room. As we entered Anthony took us to another room to discuss what had just happened. Once we were all seated he turn to me and immediately started explaining that the "creature" I saw, was what they called entities.

Anthony then proceeded to explain that these entities are made of a highly toxic synthetic matter that is a guarantee for death if skin had to come in contact with it. He also mentioned to us that the more common name for the entities was Phantoms and that these Phantoms use the remnants of human bodies to generate an almost human form to make movement easier and to help with self regeneration.

After he had finished explaining everything to us he took us back to the control room. Where he then proceeded to tell us that we would be the leaders and mentors of Entity Neutralization task force aka ENTF.
