Chapter 1 - Inside the Walls

The young child was on the floor watching her mother being devoured by a terrifying giant called a 'titan'.

'First Dad now Mum?' You thought to yourself while your wide, horrified eyes met with the titan's.

You were frozen with fear and couldn't move a muscle. The titan picked you up by your stained shirt, its emotionless, grey eyes staring into her own E/c ones.

"M-mum... Dad..." was all she could say; barely even a whisper.

This was the end. (ROLL THE CREDITS! jk)

In the distance you heard galloping and a sound kind of like a zip, finally you turned your head away from the titan and saw a green flash pass you; swords cutting into flesh as fast as lightning.

Well you weren't going to be a titan's snack but you were falling from quite a height, "AAAAHHHHH!!" You howled closing your eyes and getting ready for the impact.

However, that impact didn't come. Instead: arms! You were held in a tight embrace by a woman with ginger hair and a pretty face.

"Perfect kill as always, Corporal!" She called out to the titan killer who was aiming to get on which you guessed was his horse since it had a saddle but no rider.

The woman looked at you kindly in her free arm, "What's your name?" She asked kindly.

You stopped staring shocked at the woman and mumbled shyly, "Y-y/n. Y/n L/n.".

"Nevermind introductions Petra," interrupted a man that looked like he was trying to copy the Midget Corporal in front; "we need to get inside the walls first.".

"Auruo's right." Called a blonde with his hair up in a bun.

Petra's embrace was warm and comforting, your eyes began to droop slightly then finally giving up to keep them open, you fell asleep in Petra's arms.

Reader-chan's P.O.V

I woke up in a cold cell and realised I had left the warm arms of the kind woman called Petra. I didn't like it. I only had a thin blanket to cover myself and the ripped thin shirt and trousers on my body to keep me warm.

I started panicking. "Hello?!" I called out, "Is anyone there?!".

Quickly, I tried to get off the wooden bed but realised my skinny, s/c hands were held by rusty metal chains connected to the back of a wall; desperately and as hard as I tried I pulled and pulled hoping to take them off.

"Tch. Stop panicking brat," started a harsh, monotone voice that startled me "first of all those chains are hard as sh!t to take off and lastly seeing you even attempt to take them off is just even more sad to look at.".

I didn't say anything due to the fact I had never stepped inside of the walls where the majority of humanity lived and I was pretty scared. My parents decided we should settle in Wall Maria's isolated woods two months after the walls were broken by the infamous 'Colossal Titan' five years ago.

"What's your name, brat?" Asked the short, black-haired man.

"Y/n L/n." I answered quickly and simply: scared he might do something.

"How did you get outside of Wall Rose without any of our soldiers knowing?" The man asked staring at me coldly with steely eyes.
