It’s been a long time
Since we said our good-byes
I can still feel the sadness
I can see the tears in your eyes
They say that time will heal
It gets easier with each passing day
But if that’s true then please tell me why
I still feel the same way
I just can’t let go
Though I know that I should
I will get on with my life
I’m sure that I could
But as sure as the sun

I just had to find out
If these feelings were only me
Or if you feel the same way
Of how the things, they use to be
So I just called you up
Though I know, I know that it’s wrong
And you said darling, “I’ve always loved you”
“What took you so long?”

Though I know that I should
