Arnav sat silent as his father and Mr. Gupta discussed the deal which has changed the course of his life forever, chaining him to the unknown girl. He had never thought his semester leave will turn into nightmare. Today they had come to Gupta Construction to agree to the proposal and sign the deal.

Shashi "Arnav, here you need to sign this contract."

Arnav looked at him confused "Contract?"

Shashi "Yes, in this it states you will marry my daughter once she turns 23."

Arnav took deep breathe, taking the papers he read all the details, then looking up "I do have a doubt"

Shashi "and what is it?"

Arnav "I just don't understand why did you want to make such a deal. Your daughter should have a choice in choosing her life partner. And my family is bankrupt. Why did you choose me?"

Shashi nodding "Yes, you are right. With my money I could get anyone for my daughter but I want you because you Raizada's are Royal family. You are blue blood. And I want her married into Royal family That is one reason. And another reason because clearly not only Raizada's are Royal descendants. There are others too but I choose you because I know all about you Arnav. Do you think I would just hand over my precious daughter's hand to anyone just like that? And I know what is good for my daughter and what is not. Is that enough?"

Arnav did not say anything for few seconds, and then signed the contract forwarding it to Shashi.

Parking lot, Arvindh "Chotte, I'm sorry. This all happened because of my bad decision. I'm such a bad father."

Arnav "Dad, it is not your fault. It happens in life. Everything does not go our way, always."

Arvindh hugged him "but you are forced into a relationship."

Arnav "it is alright Dad." What else should he say? It is not like his father did everything intentionally to hurt them. If there are gains then there are loose too. Arnav "and Dad I don't want anymore talk on this, please." His father nodded understanding. Arnav "and also tell Maa and Di, too."

Arvindh "Okay Chotte"

Gupta Niwas,

Khushi giggled in her phone as Payal teased taking his name. Payal "When are you going to tell him Khushi?"

Khushi "Should I confess Payal?"

Payal "Pagal, it is already a year you are mooning over him. Gear up and confess girl. Ask him out." Khushi sat silent, she wants to do as Payal says but she is scared to get rejected.

Payal "I know you are scared but don't be Khushi, if he says Yes then he is lucky guy but if he says No, then he is unlucky to lose you."

Khushi "I'll try" Payal sighed. Suresh Kumar, is her classmate, handsome, smart guy, and topper of the class. And Khushi has huge crush on him from the time he got transferred a year back to their school.

KHUSHI.....came a call from downstairs.

Khushi "Payal, amma is calling me. I'll talk to you later. Bye" disconnecting the call she walked out of her room, lost in her thoughts thinking about Suresh and what Payal said. Not knowing her father had changed the course of her life.

As soon as Arvindh and Arnav entered SheeshMahal, Ratna hurried to them asking "Is it done?"

Arvindh nodded, Ratna keeping a hand on Arnav's arm "Are you okay?"

Arnav smiling lightly "I am okay Maa, don't worry. I am going to my room." Patting on her hand in assurance he left the couple alone, Ratna turned to her husband with troubled eyes "Why should it be like this, Arvindh ji?"

Arvindh pulling her in his arms "it is alright, Ratna. Everything will be fine." What else he could say to assure her.

That night in Gupta house, Shashi celebrated with joy, gifting his wife new diamond set and his daughter platinum bracelet. His wife, Garima knew why her husband is happy, but his daughter Khushi was left unaware and she did not even think to know why the occasion. All she guessed was may be her father got new deal successfully. Not knowing, yes it a deal but one consists of her life. Her father had gambled away her life, her future in a deal.

Likewise, Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Gupta, fate has been sealed.

[Blue blood is an English idiom recorded since 1834 for noble birth or descent; it is also known as a translation of the Spanish phrase sangre azul, which described the Spanish Royal family and other high nobility who claimed to be of Visigothic descent, in contrast to the Moors.]
