I shuffled nervously in the chair and fiddled with my fingers. My head was tilting down, trying to avoid the eyes burning in the side of my head.

"Now Mr Hemmings." The head teacher's voice rung in my ears. "Inappropriate language and disrespect to fellow students and member of staff."

Luke just slouched in his chair, a smug look on his face for whatever reason.

"Are you aware of these problems Lucas?" I tried not to giggle because of the name she used. I think he's under Lucas on all legal documents, including registers.

"I'm sorry Miss it won't happen again." He grumbled and folded his arms.

"And for you Zoe, just try to concentrate more." I nodded at her request and stood up from my chair. I walked quickly to the door and swung it open. As I began to walk down the corridor I felt a hand grab my wrist. I anxiously turned my head to be faced with a angry looking Luke.

"What the fuck you playing at getting me into trouble nerd?" I felt a pang in my chest at his insult. "I asked you a question which requires a reply." He snapped, slightly tightening his grip on my wrist.

"I'm sorry." I replied, in quiet whisper. His piercing blue eyes stared at me and he dropped my wrist.

"Don't let it happen again, Zoe." He snarled and turned to walk the opposite direction. Wait, he knows my first name? He know my first name?! I always thought he knew me as Clifford because of my brother but Luke knows my name!

Why am I getting excited? I don't like him nor will I ever. I mean come on, classical good girl falling for bad boy, it's not going to happen. I snapped out of my thoughts and began to weave throughout the crowded corridors and typed in my combination. I grabbed my drama portfolio and some other things I may need for the next two hours.

This year is my second year of GCSE's. Last year I chose French and Geography, academic subjects of course. My mum and dad were rather impressed with my two As and therefore gave me the privilege to pick, in their own words, 'pointless' subjects. Those being Drama and Child Development.

Although Drama isn't pointless for me, it's my favourite thing. I enjoy changing myself and becoming someone new even if it's only for a roleplay. I get to hide how I'm really feeling and portray someone happy. Ever since I was little it's all I put my interest in.

I stumbled up the stairs, tripping over people's feet until I arrived at the room. I smoothed out my skater dress and ruffled my hair before entering. Miss Hood quickly smiled acknowledging me before focusing back on her laptop.

I handed her my portfolio and settled my backpack down in the corner.

"Zoe!" My friend Ansley shouted. I rolled my eyes before turning to face and walk towards her. Don't get my wrong, she's like my best friend but her constant optimism sometimes makes me want to punch her.

After settling down and clustering into small groups, Miss Hood assigned the tasks and gave us the whole lesson for a change. We began brain storming all out ideas until we were rudely interrupted.

"Girls... and boy." James is my only boy-friend who is also gay. "Mr Hemmings has been removed from his previous class and sent here, so I decided maybe you could get some work out of him." For the whole time Miss was speaking Luke's eyes were burning into me. This is not an ideal situation.

"Hey I'm Ansley." Ansley politely spoke and reached her hand out to be shook. He stared at it for a few seconds before glaring at her. After awkward introductions, the planned parts were dished out and obviously I was lead. The people I tend to work with have complete lack of confidence so I'm thrown into the limelight, which may I say I hate.

Luke slouched and didn't move once. His eyes though, decided to follow me with every move I made and I was slightly disturbed. The lesson continued and we ran out of time, meaning I didn't have to perform. Yes I took Drama GCSE and love it but I hate being the lead 100% of the time. Sometimes I want to be in the back and what's wrong with that?

"Zoe please stay behind." Miss Hood politely asked. The rest of the class walked over to collect their things from the boxed before miss interrupted. "Oh and Luke." Why am I constantly put in these fucking situations?!

"Now Zoe, seen as though your a grade A student and Luke needs some improvement, I'd like you to show him the ropes of Drama because he's permanently in the class now." Miss looked hopefully into my eyes and I knew I didn't really have a choice.

"Fine." I huffed and Luke slouched further back into his seat. He reluctantly shuck his head and sir smiled widely.

"That's sorted then." She smiled and walked out the room. Luke turned and smirked at me.

"Nerd Zoe the tutor buddy."
