A year has gone past since i learned about my family on my mother's side, to say that it was a eventful year is a severe understatement. Right now i am living in a house in New York that Horus bought for me. I have finished my schooling and i am sitting in my living room looking through the newspaper in search of a job It's probably for the best if i don't go to college, i wouldn't be able to do my best at college not with the nightmares i get as well as the demigod dreams i have. My Dyslexia, ADHD regardless no college would grant me entry because of my school record so best i look for a job. I stop flicking through the newspaper to read an ad in the newspaper it says 'Two night guards wanted at the Museum of Natural History to make sure that nobody steals or vandalizes Museum Property.' A phone number is the only contact info in the ad Might as well give it a shot so i rang the number that is given in the ad and i answer several questions and they tell me i have the job as one of the two night guards and what time to head to the museum to start and the conversation ended.
I left my home and i started making my way to mum's home, when i get there i knock on the front door. it doesn't take too long for mum to open the front door and greet me with a smile and steps aside to let me in. We walk through the hall after she closes the front door and we enter the living room and i sit down on the sofa and mum sits down in a chair. "Effie what's been going on with you?" mum asks
"I've decided not to go to college as with my school record it will be hard to get accepted into college so i decided to look for a job and I've managed to get one this morning" I respond
"I'm happy to hear that sweetie, what job did you get?" Sally exclaims
"the museum of natural history is looking for two night guards and I've got the first night guard position" I answer and we chat about various topics for a few hours before i left to go home to prepare for my first day of the job.
Once i am ready for my first day on the job i leave and head to the museum of natural history which wasn't that far for me to walk to, i walk up the stairs and enter the museum and i see the man who must be the other night guard "Hi my name is Persephone Jackson but call me either Seph, Amphy or Effie, nice to meet you" I greet
"I'm Larry Daley, you should change into your uniform now" he says and i go into the back room and i change my outfit and leave my bag in the room. I close the door behind me as i leave the room. I see that Larry is playing with the intercom so i walk through the museum and i end up in the egyptian exhibit. I look at Ahkmenrah's tablet then i turn my attention to the sarcophagus with the slab on top causing me to frown at.
"you must be lonely " i mutter to him i look at the tablet to see that it is glowing i watch as the Jackals move and point their spears at me "I don't mean any harm" i say and the pharaoh shouts muffled egyptian not loud enough for me to hear what he said but enough for the Jackals to hear and they move back to their original spots. I wonder if i can move that slab off I move closer and i lift up the slab and i moved it to the floor I'm glad I've fully recovered from all that time i spent not eating in that time when i hadn't long been out of that place.
The pharaoh inside pushes the lid off, sits up and starts unraveling the bandages he gets out of the sarcophagus once he has finished removing the bandages "thank you for letting me out, i'm Ahkmenrah fourth king of the fourth king ruler of the land of my father's" he introduces himself
"I'm Persephone Jackson but call me either Seph, Amphy or Effie granddaughter of the Egyptian God Horus, it's nice to meet you" I introduce myself Ahkmenrah looks at me for a few seconds noticing the Anhk cross of Horus necklace i am wearing
"nice to meet you Seph, if your grandfather is an egyptian god why is your first name after a greek goddess?" Ahkmenrah inquires and i explain about why my mother named me after a greek goddess which led to us chatting about various topics after talking for a short period of time before we switched to egyptian when i told Ahkmenrah i know egyptian.
"You should probably get in the sarcophagus it's nearly morning and i will let you out tomorrow have a good sleep" I voice and Ahkmenrah returns the greeting and goes into his sarcophagus and once the door is closed i put the slab back on top though i don't want to I'd rather not risk loosing this job for having that off though i could just take the slab with me one day i walk to the office to change back to my clothes and once i do i walk to the entrance i overhear Larry saying he doesn't think he is going to come back.
"Larry give it one more night before you give up please, i'm sure you will get used to the museum coming to life" i say
"alright i will give it one more night" Larry agrees and we say goodbye to each other and head our separate ways.
