Prologue

Ten years ago I remember it like it was yesterday, The day that my life would chance forever.

Walking into my house with my older brother Zay Who was 15 at the time. We could hear our parents in the living room arguing again they had just got a divorce after being married for over 25 years. My mother meet my dad when she was 16 and he was 18 now they both are in their early 40's.

"How can you tell me what I can and can't do with my daughter Isaiah? I'm letting you keep Jr but Mara is coming to live with me" My mom said while crying to my father who looked  so hurt to even be in the same room with her 

"YOU ARE NOT TAKING MY DAUGHTER NO WHERE NEAR HIM ALISHA MY KIDS ARE STAYING HERE WITH ME, I CAN GIVE TO FUCKS ABOUT WHAT YOU DO WITH YOU LIVE BUT THEY ARE NOT LEAVING THIS HOUSE" My dad yelled out as he hit the wall next to him 

"SHE'S MY CHILD TO IF I WANT TO TAKE HER TO LIVE ME THEN I CAN, WHY CAN'T YOU TRUST ME" She yelled back 

"Trust? did you really just say the word trust? Ok Then I trusted your ass for over 25 years lisha 25" he said now walking up to her face "YOU LOST MY FUCKING TRUST WHEN YOU WANT STEPPED OUT ON THIS MARRIGE AND HAD A AFFAIR WITH MY BESTFRIEND AND COMING HOME TO YOUR FAMILY LAYING NEXT TO ME, HAVING SEX EVERY FUCKING NIGHT AS IF NOTHING NEVER HAPPEN BETWEEN Y'ALL, NOW YOU LEAVING ME FOR HIM HUH? THEN YOU HAVE 3 OTHER KIDS THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT BUT YOU TALKING ABOUT TRUST" HE Yelled out to her getting ready to walk away but not before my mother pulled him back by his arm 

"You will not take my children away from me Isaiah" She said looking him in his eyes as she cried again

"Well I guess you have a decision to make it's ether him or your children but I'm done with this and I'm done with you now move I have to get ready for work" He said pushing her out the way and walking pass us to his room. You can hear him being to throw stuff around the room and yelling why me why us 

By now my mother is just now seeing that we was in the room and heard everything that was going on I was still to young to know but Jr knew he knew everything.

"My baby's look mommy has to go away for a while but I promise I will be back to get the both of you then you can some stay and live with me in my new home would you like that, but  for now I have to go away" She said kissing my head going to Jr who ended up pushing her off of him

"So just like that you pick Nick over your own kids huh?" He said as if he wanted yo hit her

"Jr look you don't under-"She started to say but Jr ended up cutting her off

"Oh I understand just well mom nawl better yet Alisha you don't deserve for us to call you mom anymore just got be with Nick and kids that we knew noting about, when you leave don't even come back ever we will be better off with out you come on Xiomara" He said pulling me to my room. That night my mom came kissed me on my head put her neck around my neck left and never came back like Jr said, I heard that her and Nick are married now with three kids Two twins and one girl the twins are both my age and the girl is only 10.

My dad ended up doing everything for us. Then he ended up getting real sick and dying in his sleep. Our Mother didn't even want us she told our dad friend to send us off to live with her brother Trayvon In New York. Soon as we moved there Jr ended up getting kicked out of school five months later, for beating up a white kid and his friend pretty bad. They told Zay that his kind wasn't welcome to their school and for him to leave.  We was mixed our mom was black but our father was half white and black. His mother was raped walking home from school one day by a white man she was only 14 and she had our dad at the age of 15. My skin is way more lighter then Zay skin so people don't believe that he's My brother
