The Animal Race

In a round, blue village
There was an animal race
To be among the winners
You must do the about-face

The race has now begun
And everyone was hyped
A road they had to run
All driven by their pride

Bald eagle, bear, and dragon
They all took positions first
While most creatures suffered
From a long hunger and thirst

They were so sure of winning
They were the best of all
They had no trouble sinning
Play dirty and let them fall

The spoils they'd surely grab
And make everyone their slave
They've gotten a powerful jab
If you try you dig your grave

Critters were in despair
They couldn't stand a chance
Unlike The Tortoise And Hare
They only watched in a trance

Until the black horse came
From the farthest place
It didn't matter its name
It suddenly matched their pace

The threesome stared in shock
The horse pranced by their side
It used to be their laughingstock
Now it's taking a wider stride

The horse galloped forward and smiled
Before it crossed the finishing line
Leaving the mega racers behind
And they knew a new star would shine
