~Chapter 10- Maybe, Maybe Not~

''You are beautiful, you know that?''

''Pfft, don't be so stupid. I am a complete and utter mess. I-''

He laid a finger on my lips and cut me off. ''I mean it, Arielle. You are beautiful.'' I froze.

George leaned forward and closed his eyes. I did the same and he laid his lips on mine. I felt an explosion deep within me.

We pulled apart. ''Arielle Melody Summer, I love you so much. I don't know when I realized it but its true. And, I can't wait any longer. Will you be my girlfriend?''

I opened my mouth to say yes. But then I remembered. I remembered how it turned out with James. I can't let it happen again, I just can't.

''No.''

''What?'' George whispered, his eyes wide.

''I can't, George.'' I got up and ran to my bedroom. I couldn't risk letting him see me cry.

I heard the door open. ''Go away!!'' I wailed. Whoever was there didn't listen. Instead they came over to the bed and hugged me.

I looked up. It was Harmony. I sat up and threw my arms around her, crying openly.  ''Its okay, Ari, it's okay. George has gone. Did he upset you?''

''No Harms, its just that, he asked me out.'' I sniffed, hugging my monkey.

''That's a good thing isn't it?''

'But, I said no.''

She looked at me. ''But why Ari? You liked him a lot. I could tell.''

''James.''

''Oh Ari.'' She hugged me tight. ''He was a twat and you know it. If he truly loved you, he would have stood by you, no matter what. He would've helped you through what your dad did to you. He wouldn't have run away when he saw your dick of dad beating you. You have to stop beating yourself up about it. Its not fair on you. Iknow he's my brother and all that, but you know, I wish he wasn't sometimes''

I sniffed again. Harmony got up and got me a tissue. I accepted it and blew my nose. ''But what if it happens again Harms, what if George finds out and runs away again. I wouldn't be able to stand it, I wouldn't.'' I started crying again.

''Shhhh, Ari. Its okay. Everything will be okay. I will fix it for you Ari. I promise.''

I gave her a huge hug. '' You are truly the bestest friend ever Harms. I love you.''

''Love you too, Ari. I will always be here for you. Forever and always. Now come downstairs and make something to eat. I'm hungryyyyyyyy.''

I laughed. ''Okayyyyyyy. But could you ask Josh or JJ to call George round? I don't like the way I just ran off without any explaination.''

''Of course. Now come and enjoy your first day of being 20!!''

''Haha okay!!''

''Hey Ari, let me tell you something, I know you will be a better couple than Dodge and Sapphire. I love Sapphire, she's pretty and all that but, you are prettier. In fact, you're stunning!!''

''Thankyou Harms!! I love you tooooooooooooo!!''

~Sometimes bestfriends will always be there for you, even if you don't want them to. They are worth more than any boy~

Hellooooooo, I'm sorryy I haven't updated for a while. I have been so busyyyyyy with my PPE's at school. I won't be updating until my GCSE's are over either. I hope you won't mind!!
