Chapter Thirty

When they made it to the front of the line Jill smiled brightly. "Paul!" She chirped and the tall man smiled wickedly down at them. "Hey girl! Who's your friend?" He asked in a deep voice. "This is Liz, I thought I'd bring her along to check this place out." She stated while giving her hand a tight squeeze. The man nodded while opening the door for them to enter. "Enjoy." He said in a sly voice while sending a wink to Elizabella.

Elizabella didn't even bother to smile back at him, she just ignored him and let Jill pull her along into the club. The music quickly filled her ears and she could feel the vibrations below her feet. "Wow!" Elizabella yelled over the music and Jill nodded in agreement.

The club wasn't all that big but it was surely nicer than the usual clubs she was use to. She glanced around and noticed all the beautiful women in short dresses and it made her feel even more insecure. "Are you sure this is even our scene?" She questioned skeptically. "Stop worrying! Let's just have fun. Jared said they would meet us by the bar so let's go." She said while dragging her across the dance floor.

Elizabella didn't put up anymore of a fight, she just nodded and decided that Jill was right. She needed to stop worrying and just try to enjoy the night. It was surely better than sitting home alone sulking.

The bar came in to view along with some booths off to the side and she quickly spotted Jared along with another man who she assumed was Grayson. "There they are!" Elizabella pointed out and they quickly made their way over. Jared spotted them as well and smiled brightly when he laid eyes on Elizabella. "You made it!" He stated in surprise when they were close enough. She smiled back and nodded. "Yes, she did!" Jill responded for her while taking a seat next to Jared which meant Elizabella had to sit next to Grayson who was now looking up at her.

She gave him a weak smile and reluctantly sat down. "Hello." He spoke to her and his voice was deep but in a sexy way. She glanced to him and noticed his emerald green eyes and light brown hair. Even in the dark club she could tell he was handsome. "Hi." She said back but it came out as a whisper. "I'm Grayson, you're Elizabella I assume?" He said while holding out his hand to her. She cringed back from hearing him say her full name as only one other person ever actually called her by that. "Liz." She corrected him curtly but then quickly smiled so she didn't seem so rude and shook his hand slightly.

He smiled humorously at her. "Nice to meet you, Liz." He added and she smiled. "Like wise, Grayson." She said softly. She then realized that she was still holding his hand so she quickly let go and looked away and felt thankful for the darkness so her blush was not so blatant.

She heard Jared clear his throat. "So, I ordered us a few beers to start." He stated and Jill smiled. "Sounds good!" She chirped and Elizabella nodded in agreement. They all made small talk until the drinks were brought to the table.

Jill and Jared both got up. "We're going to dance." She announced to them but she was mainly looking at Elizabella. She immediately felt nervous, she didn't want to be left alone with Grayson, he was basically a stranger but she nodded reluctantly. "Don't be scared, I won't bite." He said with a smirk once they were out of sight. Elizabella laughed nervously. "I'm not scared." She denied which made him laugh. "Yes you are, I can basically feel the waves of discomfort coming from you." He added.

She glanced at him and smiled sheepishly. "It's not you really, I'm just...well I just wasn't to keen on coming out tonight. It's nothing personal, honestly." She said shyly which only made him laugh again. "Don't worry, I get it. I wasn't taking it personal." He said casually before sipping his beer. "So recent break up? Those always suck." He shrugged and she gaped at him and he read her thoughts. "Jared told me though he didn't need to as it's quiet obvious by just looking at you." He stated and then glanced at her. "No offense." He added quickly.

She quickly shut her mouth and nodded. "It's that obvious?" She questioned while looking towards the dance floor. "Yes." He said truthfully and she nodded again. "It does suck, a lot." She admitted softly. She saw him nod in the corner of her eye. "It's not exactly his fault though...I mean...I don't know what I mean but I just know it wouldn't of worked out anyway." She explained. She wasn't sure why she was even bothering to explain it but she felt comfortable talking to him about it. It's always easier to talk about your issues with a stranger rather than a friend.

She felt him shift in his seat and she looked over to see that he was already looking at her. "What?" She questioned. He shook his head. "Nothing. I was just looking at you." He stated like it was already obvious and that made her blush and look away again. "Let's not talk about how shitty break ups can be. Let's talk about how ridiculous that girl looks." He said with amusement.

Elizabella rose an eyebrow. "What girl?" She questioned but followed his gaze and immediately saw what he meant. "Oh my..." She gaped as she saw a girl by the bar with no shoes on and her hair going in every direction looking like she was close to passing out. "There's ecstasy at it's best." He mused which made her laugh. "You don't know that! She may just be drunk...really drunk." She giggled and he laughed too. "Or on ecstasy." He retorted which made her shake her head. "Maybe." She agreed while looking at him.

He held her gaze and she felt her palms start to sweat slightly so she quickly wiped her hands on her dress. "Would you like to dance?" He offered suddenly. She quickly shook her head and laughed nervously. "Oh no.. thank you but I'm fine." She said but he clearly didn't hear her as he started to get up and grabbed her hand. "Well sorry to tell you that I don't take no for an answer." He said in a sweet voice while smirking down at her.

She felt her breath get caught in her throat as she looked back up to him, his hand felt hot on hers. She quickly looked him up and down and noticed how his black tee shirt hugged him tightly and showed off his toned body and then she took note on just how tall he was, he basically towered over her. She gulped nervously. "I guess one dance won't hurt." She nodded while letting him pull her up.

He intertwined his fingers with hers and led the way to the dance floor. Once they reached the middle of the dance floor he quickly let go of her hand and turned her around only to place his hands on her hips and pull her back against his front.

They moved together in sync with the music. She started to relax slightly and she let him lead. It felt nice to feel someone. She wasn't drunk but she started to feel dizzy from the feeling of being near him. She wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing but she wasn't going to fight it.

She felt his hot breath on her neck and it sent shivers down her spine. "I forgot to mention how beautiful you are." He murmured in her ear and she smiled. "Thanks." She said back and he laughed lightly and she felt the vibration against her back. They continued to dance, a lot longer than she expected to while he whispered compliments in her ear.

She was actually enjoying herself but she didn't want to over think anything simply for the chance that it might ruin her good mood. This was the most content she has felt in three weeks and she wanted it to last for as long as possible. She knew that Grayson would only be a distraction but she was okay with it.

She turned around to face him and snaked her arms around his neck. He quickly let his hands trail down her back and she didn't try to stop him. "Would you like to come back to my place tonight?" He asked while looking down at her. She wasn't all to surprised by his question, in fact she was hoping he'd ask. "I...well..." But she was cut short when an arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her away from Grayson. "Sorry but she will not be joining you." A dark threatening voice answered for her and she immediately recognized it.

She quickly turned around. "Jeremy." She stated in shock.
