my palm was placed firmly on my chin as i used it for head support. i was in deep thought, i would never really think that i would look like i'm dozing off from other's persoective, i continue to be lost in my thoughts.

" (l/n), could you please answer that? " the teacher called out and made me jump as i stood up.

" i-i.. um.. wasn't paying attention. " i stifled out a quiet response but loud enough to let everyone hear.

teacher breathed out a heavy sigh, " well thank you for your honesty. but please pay attention from now on. "

i nodded and took my seat. i can hear people at the back snickering, i didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this point. i looked at my friend and she gave me a sympathetic look. i shrugged it off.

through my peripheral vision, i caught someone glancing at me before turning their head back infront. for a split second i caught their eyes.

i smiled to myself before continuing to write my notes.
