My Broken Family

I sit in my bed and I wonder.

Is it all in my head? Something to ponder.

They scream and they yell.

Is it a dream or am I truely in hell?

"There is no one to blame." I tell myslef.

"They fight all the same. Over money, over they're wealth."

"Do they care what I think?"

My heart begins to sink.

I stare at they're fists. Always in a wall or on each other.

"How did it come to this? My father? My mother? My sisters? My brothers?"

I can't take it any more.  I get involved.

They tell me, "go ahead! Leave, there's the door! It's not like this problem will be solved!"

I race to my room. I bolt the door.

"This is you're fault. Rip the skin, it won't hurt any more."

And that's what I did, I gave in. And now I know, it was them who's to blame.

So, I know where you've been. Please, don't do the same.... _Matthew James Tucker
