My mom was rushing to the airport and I usually wouldn't care because this is a normal thing for her but its different this time. She is gonna be gone for the whole summer, with her best friend. which I don't mind at all, the thing that i do mind is that my mom's friends son will be spending the summer with me. Whom I have yet to meet. You may be wondering why they would think its a good idea to leave us together, I have no clue. They say that they would rather have the two of us together then separate just incase something happens, and its a good way to make "new friends". Honestly I'm just praying that this girl isn't a brat.
"Sweetie I really got to run I will call you as soon as I land"
"Of course I will text you, I love you mom"
" I love you more,Oscar will be here shortly" she says with a kiss on the cheek.
She runs out the door with her suitcases behind her. are you kidding.

As time went by I began to grow board so in the process of waiting, most of my time was me being on my phone scrolling through snapchat answering some people. But the rest of my time was wondering what I was supposed to do. I have to hag out with a kid that I saw last when i was like 9 and barely remember for the whole summer. My goal is to try to make it the least awkward it can be. I decided make a cup of ice almond milk latte and read a chapter of one of my favorite books Heart Talk by Cloe Wade at the lawn chairs. After a little bit of reading I heard a car door slam shut and not to long after a knock on the door. he's here. I get to the door and remind myself not to be and awkward weirdo. I open the door.
