Making Moves (Tododeku)

Prologue

Hey there again! Not gonna give a big opening, but just feel I need to say that this is a little different to my other works, as this is gonna be a story with chapters!

3 weeks prior to events

'Calm down, Izuku!'

It wasn't even lesson time, Aizawa hadn't appeared.. Yet he couldn't stop his blush. As soon as he spotted the dual-haired guy walking in, his face flamed red.

That's right, Midoriya Izuku had a major crush on the guy with one of the most powerful quirks in class, Todoroki Shouto.

It had began at the training camp in their first year.. Or he at least realised it then. When Todoroki had implied that he was strong, being able to break the idea of his flames being his father's power, Midoriya's eyes had widened. He had stared at Todoroki, and could have sworn that he was... glowing? He had stared for a little while. When Midoriya looked away, it was because it seemed that if he had stared any longer his whole face, including his neck, would burn from the violent blush that rose.

Todoroki was the same. He could feel Midoriya's warm eyes on him the whole time he was speaking, and that alone made his face warm up, and he had subtly smiled. But it seems he noticed it too late, as tiny flames were beginning to ignite on his face, which he tried his best to control to keep Midoriya from noticing.

It took him some time and a lot of emotional support from Uraraka to figure out his feelings, but it was at that moment Midoriya first knowingly felt something for him, though for Todoroki, it had been a while...

From his seat, Midoriya used his eyes to follow Todoroki's movements through the classroom. As he was walking up a row to get to his own seat, Todoroki cautiously lifted his eyes to where Midoriya was sitting.

When Todoroki locked eyes with Midoriya, his eyes brightened. He smiled and sent a slight wave in his direction, and Midoriya sent a wave and a bright smile back to him. When Todoroki got to his desk, he sat down, and Yaoyorozu turned in her seat to talk to him.

Neither Midoriya or Todoroki could wipe the smiles off of their faces.

Though Midoriya was pulled into his thoughts (again) about how close Todoroki was with Yaoyorozu. They had been close friends since the beginning of their class' education at UA, and their relationship was only getting better. They never seemed to make any romantic progress, but this didn't stop him from worrying, and his eyes seemed to become twice as sharp when it came to Todoroki, so he noticed whenever Yaoyorozu inched slightly closer to him, whenever she touched him, even whenever her eyes flicked to him..

A cheerful shout pulled him out of his thoughts and he looked over his shoulder to see Uraraka about to hug him from behind.

"De-ku!!" She beamed as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "Oh, morning Uraraka" he replied with a smile. She squeezed him lightly, then withdrew her arms and sat in the seat next to his, placing her chin on her palm.

Todoroki had turned in his chair slightly when he heard Midoriya's nickname called, and his smile dropped, eyes narrowed when he saw Uraraka draped over the greenette. As her smile got brighter and her hold got tighter, his eyes narrowed even more and he let out an almost silent growl.

Yaoyorozu watched on with amusement. "Todo, you're doing it again." She giggled and placed a hand on his shoulder. Todoroki turned his head towards her, his cheeks dusted with pink. He groaned, and placed his head in his hands. She took her hand off and sighed exasperatedly. "Don't you think it's about time you told him?" Her sharp eyes bored into his brain.
