Chanel's POV

The cold rain felt like ice as it hit my skin. I leaned my head against the cold brick wall. Pulling  my legs up to my chest to try and keep warm. My red hair was plastered to my face but I didn't bother to move it. My stomach ached in pain from the hunger that was intensifying with each passing minute. It had been 3 days since my family was killed in house fire. 3 days since I have been living in this alley way. I would love to be enjoying my mother's cooking, my father's corny joke's, my brothers nagging, and my sisters happiness.

Tear began to build in my eyes once more and I let out a whimper. My heart breaking a little more with every thought.

"Did you hear that?"

A deep voice called from the opening of the alleyway. I turned my head to see three figures, silently cursed myself for making  a noise.

"Yeah I heard it. Let's go check it out"

This time a rough harsh sounding  voice spoke. I curled up tighter hoping that they wouldn't see me. I could hear their foot steps as they grew closer. I turned my head back and closed my eyes.

"Well, well  look what we have here."

The first voice spoke again I opened my eyes to give a face to the voice. Three buff men stood in front of me, they were all wearing  black. The one directly  in front of me had blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail.  His shirt was sleeve less reveling a purple dragon tattoo on his arm. The man to right had short black hair with a purple  bandana  tied onto his forehead. The little one on the left was stood off to the side, with a far off look in his eyes.

"Looks like we're going to have a fun night."

The black haired one said with a wild look in eyes. What I had felt as sorrow building  up in my chest, was starting to boil into anger. The rain was staring to let up, as I started to push myself  up onto my feet. My head started pounding, and for a few seconds  I was dizzy  for lack of food.

"Stay away from me."

I said as sternly as I could. The men in front of me just chuckled  at my attempt to scare them off.

"Looks like we have stubborn one."

The blonde one said through his laughter. He stepped closer to me causing me to  back up against the wall. The anger in my chest began to make my blood boil.

"I said stay away from me!"

I screamed  while  bringing my knee up hitting  him in the abdomen. He grabbed  his stomach  groaning, his to henchman rushed to his side. Seeing my only way to escape  my fate, I took off running, with adrenaline pumping helping me ignore  the pain in my joints.

I was almost to the opening of the alleyway when I felt myself being jerked back. Suddenly I was thrown against the brick wall. My breath  caught in my chest, as I struggled to breathe. My arms were being held by the two henchman, the blonde one stood in front of me with a look that turned my blood cold.

"Your gonna pay for that girlie."

I saw him raise his hand I closed my eyes waiting  for impact, that never came.

"Didn't your mother teach you how to treat a lady?"

A thick Brooklyn accent spoke causing me to open my eyes. I saw the blonde haired  purple dragon laying on the ground. There was four figures in shadows hidden from my sight.

The men holing my arms let go causing me to fall to my knees. I watched  as they grabbed  their leader and ran off. I looked up at the figures still hidden in the shadow's.

" Are you okay? "

A deep voice filled with worry asked.

"Who are you? "

I asked ignoring the question. I watched as one of the figures reached out a hand to help me up. When the hand came into view I sucked in a breath. I noticed that my hero's hand was green, and that it only had three fingers. I hesitated, before putting my hand in his.

He slowly  pulled me up to my feet and suddenly I was face to face with a 5'10, forest green turtle, who had a red bandana around his bright green eyes. I was shocked but I wasn't scared. For the first time in 3 days I felt relieved. What I failed to notice  was that there was three more mutant turtles behind him.

" The names Raphael. " He said in the thick Brooklyn accent that spoke  earlier. Without  taking  my eyes off of his I spoke in almost  a whisper.

" I'm Chanel "
