"Toochie!" Noodle called out as her light footsteps echoed as she walked along the wooden floorboards of their old, messy home. Noodle peeked into an open doorway, presumably 2D's room as she looked in. There was 2D, writing in his journal and relaxing on his trashpile of a bed. He looked over to her, his pen stopping on his paper.

"Yeh, Noods?" He quietly muttered, looking down back in his page, scribbling more.

Noodle paused, "Would you like to visit Murdoc with me?" She said, as she stepped into the room and leaned herself on the doorframe.

2D paused, sitting up and putting his pen down. He sat still, hunched over as if he was thinking deeply. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his messy blue hair, "Na', na', I'm alright Noods.." He looked down at his lap, rubbing his forehead to focus himself into the conversation.

"Me 'n Murdoc had a pretty deep talk the las' time I visited him 'n I don't wanna feel too awkward about it.." He sighed once more, looking back up to Noodle. She stared for a moment before smiling, keeping a sympathetic look on her face to make sure he knew she understood what he really meant by 'deep talk'.

She then chuckled, crossing her arms. "Okay, Toochie. Russel is downstairs. Please go get us food for dinner. Russel complains to me that he is hungry, and I do not want to hear anymore of it."

2D chuckled as well, looking down at his journal and picking up his pen. "Will do, Noods, tell Muds I said hi." He mumbled, going back to writing.

Noodle stared, fixing her sleeve over her shoulder and walking towards 2D. He looked up to her with a confused expression. She sat down in front of him, putting a hand on his knee. "Do you miss him?" She said in her softest tone, as to not upset him. He stared for a moment, before frowning. He looked down at his page and grumbled, "Go have fun with Muds, Noodle. I'm sure he'll be happy to see ya."

"Do you miss him, Toochie?" Noodle spoke again, in a more stern but still soft as silk voice.

2D stayed quiet, gripping his pen roughly. You could tell he was on the brink of breaking out in tears, as he hated the topic of him possibly missing the man who had subjected him to pain thorought most of his life which could have been spent in happiness.

Noodle stared, before pushing him more, "Toochie-"

"Yes, Noodle, I miss Murdoc! Is that what you wanted to hear? Is that it?" He looked up at her, tears formed in his black eyes.

Noodle would continue to stare, a solemn expression on her face before she leaned towards him and hugged him. "It is okay that you miss him, 2D. I sometimes find myself thinking about him as well, even Russel. It is not wrong." She spoke gently as she rubbed his back.

"I-I just wish he was here..." He sniffled. "I-I don' even need him! I just- just want him here. It- It hurts. Am I messed up? Am I broken?" He sobbed into Noodle's shoulder, gripping her jacket as she held him.

"No, Toochie, no." She interjected as she pulled away and looked him in the face. "It is not wrong, okay? You are not broken. Not anything of the sort." She held his face, wiping the tears off his cheeks.

2D nodded, sniffling. "Look- Lookit me, a practical old man sobbin' on a little girl's shoulder." He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. She scoffed, giggling, "I am no little girl anymore, so quiet yourself." She stood up, looking down at him. "Are you sure you do not want to come, 2D? Murdoc will enjoy seeing you there, you know."

2D thought for a second before nodding, "Yeah, I'm sure. It's... too soon anyway." Noodle nodded, turning around and walking out. "Wait, Noods." 2D called. Noodle turned her head, looking at him. "Yes?"

"Thank you." He softly smiled, showing his appreciation for the girl.

Noodle smiled back, walking out and making her way down the worn staircase. Upon making her way down the stairs, she saw Russel on the couch. He was just sitting there, staring at nothing as if he was thinking to himself. Noodle smirked, getting an idea quickly. She shuffled towards Russel quietly, ready to pounce as she looked like a predator ready for it's breakfast.

"HYAH!" She called out as she gripped Russel's shoulders, shaking him roughly. He screamed, "AGH! WHAT THE-" He turned his head, only to see Noodle smiling widely.

Russel shook his head, chuckling lightly. "Good one, sister." He held out a fist, Noodle immediately fist bumping him and two blowing their fists away, making a little 'pkkkshewww' noise. He looked up at her, "What're you dressed up for, Karate Master?" He raised a brow curiously.

"I am going to visit Murdoc." She smiled, looking down at him. Russel stared, looking at the staircase and nodding to it. "2D ain't comin' with you, or what?"

"No, he refused me." Noodle sighed in disappointment. "He and Murdoc apparently had a um," She paused, before air-quoting, "'deep talk.'" He nodded, understanding immediately. "Well, you want me to come with you?" Noodle shook her head, "No, I am okay. I would not want 2D alone here either. Ace is not coming home tonight, I do believe." She stood up straight, putting a hand on her hip as she looked up the staircase.

"Sure, alright sister." Russel yawned, "Have fun." He smiled, something he rarely did around others. Noodle smiled softly as she walked to the door, taking out her key. "Goodbye, Russel! Goodbye, 2D!" She called, hearing a faint "Bye, Noodle!" upstairs and earning a tiny wave from Russel.

Noodle closed the door behind her as she walked out, locking it. She turned forward, shoving her hands in her pockets and sighing,

"Alright Murdoc, let us see what you will admit to me."
