The pair of (Y/N) and Grace had an important decision to make, that could change the course of their future. For one, they no longer had to worry about Robert or Margo getting all caught up in their *ahem* personal matters. After quite a bit of research, and important details to consider, they finally decided to rent an apartment together. (Y/N), had to find a job somewhere, since he couldn't physically participate in turf wars, or anything of the sort. Grace had been getting money from turf wars up until the age of 16 when she dropped it entirely. She wasn't having as much fun with them as she used to, and decided to join (Y/N) in getting a job. The apartment complex they picked was a nice, even distance from both of their jobs. (Y/N) decided to work for Jelanzo in the square. He had assumed with Jelanzo being the owner and sales guy, he wouldn't have to interact with other inklings much. He was in charge of coming in before close, organizing and restocking, before closing up shop. It was pretty easy for him to say the least. Grace worked at the movie theater, selling concessions. Not only did she get two free movie tickets at the end of each month for a movie of her choice, but she also got a free bucket of popcorn anytime she stopped by the concession stand. She made quite a few friends at the theater, whether they worked there or not didn't matter to her. She would hang out with all of them from time to time, but most of her attention was focused on (Y/N).
They had enjoyed every day together since the day they met. Even though there had been arguments in their past, some moderate, others bringing them to the brink of an end, they always got past them. There had been times where (Y/N) would wonder what his parents would think of the life he had been experiencing for the past 10 years now. Would they be proud of him for finding love, or disappointed that he had been with a strange human like squid. His parents had been dead for thousands of years, but throughout most of that time, (Y/N) was asleep in a capsule. On the other hand, Graces' mother was very supportive of both (Y/N) and Grace. However Robert, Graces' father, wasn't as supportive. Throughout the early days of their relationship, Robert didn't think too highly of (Y/N). He saw everything that wasn't an inkling as an enemy. He lived, and still lives in the past.
The apartment they lived in was quite large for the price. The walls of the main room were plain white, along with the ceiling. The main room was composed of a window at the far wall, with sky blue curtains hanging down on both sides of it. The evening sun shone beautify through the window. In the top right corner was a stained glass lamp, and next to it, sat a 2 person, black leather couch against the right wall. Across from that, sat an entertainment center with a medium sized television resting on top of it, and an assortment of other things stored within the cabinets. 3 feet in front of the couch was a round wooden coffee table, with a glass pane in the center of it, and a small container of coasters. At the right edge of the couch, the wall behind it bent into a hall way, which led to 4 rooms. A bathroom, a bed room, a washroom, and a closet for storage. To the left edge of the entertainment center was another bend in the wall. Except instead of leading into another hall way, it lead to the kitchen. There was a black top stove with a microwave above it. A toaster lay on the counter just a few feet away. And in the back left corner of the apartment was the fridge. There were many photos hanging on the fridge by colorful magnets. Not only were there photos on the fridge, but there were framed photos hanging around the walls in the living room, and hallway. The framed photos marked more important moments in both (Y/N) and Graces' life. The main one being Prom, and that photo was surrounded by family photos. The bathroom was rather small, having a walk in shower in the top right corner of it, a sink next to it with a mirror mounted on the wall, and a toilet in the bottom left corner. The bedroom was simple. The walls were a very shy light blue, with a queen bed, and a night stand on either side against the left wall. A dresser to the right of the bed against the far right wall, and a window in the center of the back wall. The same sky blue curtains hanging down on each side. (Y/N) and Grace were lying on the bed, looking into each others eyes.
"Grace," (Y/N) said. "We both have off today, what do you want to do?"
"Well, I don't think we should do anything special," Grace said smirking. "Especially because it's your 24th birthday tomorrow."
"10 years of being with you, and you always manage to have something new planned for my birthday." (Y/N) said turning onto his back to work his way off of the bed. As he stood up from the bed, he stretched, and turned to look at Grace. "What do you want for breakfast?" He asked.
"We could go out to eat if you want." Grace said as she worked her way out of bed.
"Alright. I guess we should get ready for the day then." (Y/N) said, as he walked over to the dresser, and opened the top drawer to grab his clothes. As he closed it, he opened the second drawer, and grabbed a pair of socks, and underwear. He made his way to the bathroom, and a few seconds later, Grace was fully out of bed. Her hair was a bit messy right now, but she can fix it after she showered. She walked over to the dresser, and knelt down to the third drawer to grab her clothes. When the third drawer was fully closed, she opened the fourth and final drawer to grab a pair of panties, a bra, and a pair of socks. She went over to the night stand on her side of the bed, grabbed her glasses from on top, opened it up, and grabbed one of her books from inside. She let our a sigh as she closed the cabinet, and laid down across the couch with her book in one hand, and her glasses in another. She put her glasses on, and opened her book to where she left off. For as long as they've lived together, Grace and (Y/N) would stop by the book store every few weeks to pick up new books. Most of the books they owned were for Grace, but even still, (Y/N) had managed to find a few he enjoyed.
Grace had been reading for around 7 or 10 minutes when (Y/N) stepped out of the bathroom, fully clothed, and ready for the day. Grace put her book down, folding the corner of the page so she wouldn't lose her place. She walked into the bathroom, and closed the door behind her. She didn't really care if (Y/N) would see her while she showered. They had already seen each other naked a few times in the past. Although, they've never "done it" before. She stepped into the shower, and turned the water on. A few minutes later, the water turns off again, and she steps out of the shower. Grace grabs the towel hanging on the door, and raps it around herself before grabbing another smaller towel to wrap around her hair. When she was fully dried off, she took the towels off, and got dressed. When she left the bathroom, she put her two towels in the hamper, and walked out to the couch where (Y/N) was. "Hey, you ready?" Grace asked.
"Yeah. Where are we going?" (Y/N) asked. To this question, Grace just reached her hand out to (Y/N).
"You'll see." He grabbed her hand, and followed her out the apartment. She used her key to lock the door, and they went down the stairs to the lobby. They left out the side exit of the complex, and made their way out to the car. The car left the parking lot, and made its way onto the highway.
