••Chapter 6••

I have the urge to save him from drowning. I want to save him before darkness eats him whole. I want him to smile brightly without faking it... I want to take all his pain away. I want to save him.

"Dylan? Why are you crying?"

Napakurap-kurap ako ng marinig ang baritonong boses na yun. Napatingin ako sa mesa namin at nakita kong nakatingin na pala silang lahat saken. Napakurap ulit ako at dinama ang pisngi ko. Crap! Umiyak ako. Sinubukan kong punasan ang mata ko pero ewan ko ba... ayaw tumigil ng mga mata ko sa kakaiyak. Hanggang sa maramdaman ko na lang ang mainit na kamay ni Haru na pumupunas na din sa pisngi ko. I went stiff because of his sudden touch.

"Guys, I think we should buy food. My treat!" Rinig kong announcement ni Levi.

"Ha? Pero si Dylan umiiyak---aray!" Sabi ni Kid na napadaing sa huli dahil piningot siya ni Mira.

"Wag ng matigas ang ulo at samahan natin si Levi-senpai sa pagbili ng pagkain. Ayaw mo nun, libre?" Sabi naman ni Mira.

Hanggang sa unti-unti nang nawawala ang mga boses nila at naiwan kami ni Haru dito ng kami lang dalawa. He rubbed his thumb on my cheeks that made my tears drop again... non-stop!

I can feel his pain. It's in my heart and it's very painful. I can feel it too deeply.

"Dylan, please say something. Why are you crying?" Nag-aalala ng tanong niya.

Umiling naman ako. "I don't know. I swear! My tears just suddenly flowed out"

"But you won't cry like this without a reason." Sagot niya at pinunasan ulit ang mukha ko gamit ang kamay niya.

Now I'm already sobbing. Napatingin ako ng diretso sa mata ni Haru. And I can see how worried he is. He's eyes are so beautiful. I can see the ocean in it. And it holds too many emotions and while staring at those eyes I can feel his pain ocean deep. It hurts so much that I can't help but to let it out through crying.

"Haru..." I called his name between sobs. "We're friends right?"

"Of course!" He nodded.

"Will you let me... save you? I don't know but I feel so sad every time I see the pain in your eyes." Sabi ko.

Nagulat ako ng bigla niya akong hilahin at yakapin ng mahigpit. I can feel him caressing my hair with his hand. I can feel his warmth. I can hear Haru's heart beating so fast.

"Save me. Dylan, please save me." Rinig kong bulong niya na nag-paiyak pa sakin.

We stayed in that position for almost 10 minutes, hanggang sa kumalma na ako. I said that I will save him. But how will I do that?

"I'm sorry. Hindi ko dapat pinakitang umiyak ako." Nahihiyang sabi ko sabay iwas ng tingin.

He chuckled that made me look at him. Hearing him chuckled like that warms my heart.

He put his index finger on between his smirking lips. "You cried because of me. Even though you look so strong because of your boyish aura. I can't help but to think while I embraced you, you look so fragile. And that fragile Dylan is only my secret for now."

Then he gave me that wink that made me blush. Kainis! Why does this man knows how to make me blush? Nagiging marupok na ba ako?
