You sigh, putting down your favorite english to korean translation book.
"How will i ever impress duolingo when i cant speak k-pop, jimin?" you sigh to your best friend, the famous k - pop idol who is also your cousin.
jimin respondes in korean, all you make out is "y/n", "duolingo", and "zie" but he rolled his eyes so you assume he thinks you are stupid. You frown and flip him off as you stand up from the couch on your massive bedroom. if nothing else good came out of having famous, rich relatives, you have a bedroom the size of a literal house, and your parents keep letting you live here rent free, so thats cool.
You roll your eyes as you answer the man "lol why are you in my house again? I don't speak japanese"
you grab a Mean Bean Java Monster from your mini fridge, your bright blue orbs squinting at the bright light coming through your windows.
Before you can look away from the window a shadow appears, somewhat squarish but also roundish and its distinctly owl shaped. Your heart pumps in your chest and your cheeks turn bright red as duolingo crashes through your fucking window, impaling you with bits of glass.
"Thank you Mr Duolingo" you moan.
"You haven't done your korean lessons today y/n" the owl turns his massive head and stares his bulbous eyes into the k-pop idol "나는 그것이 말하기 위해 아프다라고 말할 것이다. 그러나 zie는 zier 수업을 끝내지 않았다. 당신은 나의 위장에있는 다른 zier 가족들과 합류해야 할 것입니다. " ". Jimin's eyes fly wide open and he begs for his life. The owl doesn't feel empathy, so he swallows the man whole.
Duolingo turns his head to you again, and smiles brightly "These reminders don't seem to be working, I'll stop visiting for now" :)
You weep after he leaves, both from the glass still covering most of your body but also because Duolingo said he's going to stop visiting! How can you live without the object of your obsession visiting you. That's why you haven't been completing your lessons. You want him to visit!!
You will just have to get creative if you want him to come back.
