Dear Bella

Chapter 2 - First Day

Ugh I have to start school today! Well I don't have to but Victoria strongly recommended it for me if I want to live a normal life.

I hadn't slept all night because vampires don't sleep. When I got out of my room, I headed to the bathroom and took a shower.

I decided to make myself smell human today just for the sake of it. If there was vampires at that school, who knows what they'll do. I wanna see if any try to attack me. That would be hilarious!

I took out my makeup supplies and kept my look simple today. I just wore a neutral gold as my eyeshadow and some mascara and a little eyeliner. I then put on some light red lipstick on but not too much so that I'm not overdoing it. For my outfit, I wore a pink sweater with a white Peter Pan collar and some black high waisted jeans. I just went with my black Gucci flats since I didn't wanna be dull but not too fancy.

I looked at the mirror and WOW I LOOKED HOT! I then got out and headed to my car and drove off to school. Victoria said it was just off the highway so that's where I went. It wasn't too hard to find it.

As I got out of the car, I immediately got stares and looks. Some held some jealousy for my car, I suppose and some were wishing they were friends with me. All in all, I felt myself already becoming popular.

I went straight to the office and received my schedule for the day and a map of the school. As I was going to my first class, English, I was stopped by a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes and had a baby face.

"Hey, I'm Mike. You must be Isabella Swan. Can I assist you with finding your class?" He asked politely.

"Um thanks but no thanks. I think I got it from here. I have English" I said.

"Oh so do I", He said sounding a little too happy.

"I went to the teachers desk and saw a man. He introduced himself as Mr. Laker.

"I'm Isabella Swan. Where do I sit?" I asked politely.

"Anywhere that's free" He responded.

I nodded.

I sat next to a girl named Jessica. She seemed nice but just a bit full of herself but other than that, she was nice. She even invited me to sit with her at lunch. She obviously liked my popularity and my looks so she took advantage of it. I didn't really care.

The bell rang. It was time for ... Biology. Great! One of my least favorite classes. I unwillingly got out of my seat and headed down the hall to biology class. I changed my scent to nothing because I could have sworn I smelt a vampire when I was getting closer to the class. Weird.

I entered the class and walked up to the teacher and introduced myself. He pointed to an empty seat next to a boy.

I walked to that seat and next to me sat a bronze haired and gold eyed boy. He looked at me weird. But that's when it hit me. He's the vampire I smelt before. I suddenly knew why he looked at me weird. He didn't understand how I could smell neither human or vampire.

As I sat down, I placed all my books to the corner of the lab table. A velvety voice spoke to me, it startled me.

"Hello, my name is Edward Cullen. You must be Bella Swan" the bronze haired boy said.

Edward's POV

Bella was scaring me. She didn't smell human or like a vampire. I wasn't sure that was even possible. What could she possibly be. I introduced myself so that I could get to know her and find out what she is.

"Hello, my name is Edward Cullen. You must be Bella Swan" I said. She jumped a little, startled.

She replied, "Yes. It's a pleasure to meet you" Her eyes met mine. That's when I realized, wow she's beautiful.

We barely talked the whole class and before I knew it, class was over. After this was Lunch. Yay!

Bella's POV

Edward was his name. He introduced himself to me. He's so hot oh my gosh. I should date him. We'd make a great couple.

At lunch, he sat with a group of people who all somehow looked like him. They were probably vampires. I sat with Jessica and I asked her.

"Who are the people sitting over there with Edward Cullen?" I asked her, pointing at them.

"Oh, they're the Cullen's. The little girl with the short black hair is Alice. She's really weird. And the blonde haired guy next to her that looks like he's in pain. That's Jasper Hale. And oh yeah that big dark haired guy is Emmet and the girl next to her with blonde hair is Rosalie Hale and of course you've already met edward. He's really gorgeous obviously but apparently nobody here is good enough for him." She explained.

I stared at the family and observed them. Rosalie was so pretty, she looked like she should be on the cover of some popular model magazine. And Emmet, he was so big and scary. Jasper was a little cute but I obviously wouldn't date him. I figured he's already together with Alice by the way they held each other. And same with Rosalie and Emmet but what about Edward? Did he have a mate. Then it hit me. How could they all be dating if they are all supposedly related?

"Um Jess? Are they all related?" I asked.

"They are all adopted by Dr. Carlisle Cullen and Esme Cullen. Edward, Alice and Emmet are Cullens and Rosalie and Jasper are twins and they are Hales." Jess said simply. It made sense now.

After a while, the Cullen table stared interestingly at me. They weren't eating either. The little girl, Alice walked up to me and invited me to her table. I looked at Jess surprised. She returned the look.

I got up and said goodbye to Jessica and headed towards the Cullen table.

"Hello?" I said, it almost sounded like a question.

"Hello. I'm Alice and this is my family, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmet and Edward. We are the Cullens. I believe you are Isabella Swan?" She said.

I simply nodded. We talked about Forks and how I was liking it here. Alice invited me to sleepover her house today and the weekend. I couldn't come up with an excuse so I just gave in and said yes. She texted me the address and her phone number. The bell rang, dismissing us from lunch. I finished my last 2 classes and headed to the parking lot.

I got inside my car and turned the music up all the way to "Love will Take You" and drove home. It was 2:30 so I had about 15 minutes to shower and 5 minutes to pack and 5 minutes to finish up and head out the door.

After I got out the shower, I wore something simple and comfortable. I wore black leggings and a blue tank with a white cardigan. I decided to wear all star converse which seemed just about right. I put my hair up and decided to start packing. I had about 5 minutes before I would be heading out so I rushed. I packed a few clothes and some perfume and deodorant. I brought my showering essentials and my toothbrush into my bag and zipped it all up in my duffel bag. I got my keys and headed out the door and into my car. I was actually a little excited to see Edward which was kind of ridiculous.
