The Curse Of Edelweiss

Chapter 1 : The Folktale

This folktale started a long time ago, when Edelweiss was still a peaceful and loving kingdom, where the 4 country Aster, bluebell, salvia and Edelweiss live with harmony. The people in each country have a smile on their faces everyday and they keep celebrating their beloved king and queen. It was the time where there were no witch or dark magic, the time where the people can live without fear and curse, the time where they all can be free and living life to the fullest,the time where the children laughter and running around town can be heard. It was a historical day, in the Edelweiss kingdom.

The king, V was known as a gentleman and kind hearted king, he married his soulmate queen rika from bluebell country. Queen rika was well known in bluebell as someone who love to help people in need and her charity work to reduce poverty around bluebell country was a total success.They meet in Aster and fell in love with each other and after 1 months of their newlyweds life they adopted two twin brothers. Then, They live happily as a royal family.
The king and queen love story spread fast to the 4 country and become the greatest love and inspiration to all the couple in the kingdom.

But one day, the queen changed, nobody know what the causes of her changes neither the king itself. The queen interest in black magic become worsen and she started to do many weird ritual to master her black magic. At first, the king try to persude her to stop but all his effort was useless. The queen was unstoppable and she started to use a sacrifice and become a powerful witch. The sacrifice was none other than one of the twins she adopted. She choose the weak and younger twin. She claimed that all she done is for the little boy to grow stronger as his older twin brother, she said that everything she do is a good deal to god, that she will be forgiven.

The younger twin suffer a huge amount of torture and brainwash. At the time the king and his older brother came to rescue him. He already lost himself. he has a huge amount of hatred to his father and twin brother. He keep blaming the world he is breathing, he despise his weak body and he only believed the queen. Everything the queen say is the truth for him.

"the suffering of others is the source of power for me"

The queen who become a powerful witch ended her sentence with evil laughter and the king give the order to his soldier to fight the queen. The battle lasts for a long time but the witch was too powerful and the king lost the battle. The witch put a curse to Edelweiss kingdom and dissappear with the younger twins.

"then what happen to the younger twins? Did he escape from the witch??"

One out of the 5 children suddenly asks the Mc, question in the middle of the story telling. The little girl give mc a wondering look before the other 4 children joined her. Mc softly patting the little girl head and calmly answer the little girl question.

"ahemm.. Well.. In the book it says that the shaman in Edelweiss predict that for the kingdom to break the curse, the king need to search for another witch with kind hearted heart to fight the evil witch.. But.."

Before mc get to finish her sentence she was interrupted by a little boy from the group.

" the witch actually never exist.. It was only in a fairytale.. My mom told me that"

The other children face changed from excitement to sorrow and mc feel bad for deciding to read them a folktale  about their kingdom. She wish she had a better choices in fairytale book but it was hopeless. She doesn't have enough money to buy more books and she admit that she really not good in story telling.

Suddenly a gentle voice break the heavy atmosphere and all the children attention fall into a good looking pink haired man.

"i believe that the younger twin is living a happy life somewhere.. He will escape from the witch, so don't worry.. Here i bring you all flowers, today flower is a daisy.. Meaning hope in flower language"

The pink haired guy known as saeran handed one each of the daisy to the children and the atmosphere become cheerful again. Mc give a smile to him and he handed some of daisy to her.

"nice move..next time you will be in charge of storytelling"

"pffttt.. I think you're good enough than me.. Besides I'm busy with my flowershop"

Mc give him a pout and he nudge her elbow teasingly. They both start to laugh before they're interrupted by the children again.

"brother.. If this flower meaning is hope,then can i pray for the younger twin in the folktale to be happy? I really hope he will meet his older brother again."

Saeran and mc keep exchanging look before they all agreed with the children to offer the younger twin in the folktale a prayer. After that, the both of them are left alone together.

" i heard you closed your store for 3 days. Are you alright? If you're not feeling well you can ask my help"

Mc give saeran a concerned look. She really think that saeran looked more tired than before and his dark circle keep worsening since the last time she saw him. He also looked a little bit thinner. She keep wondering if this guy is eating properly at his home.

"don't worry I'm fine. I actually don't remember why i closed my shop for 3 days but saviour said that she need me to help her with some stuff"

He give her a sweet smile but since they have been a best friend for a long time, mc knew that there is something not right in his answer. She intend to pry more into her best friend answer.

"what kind of stuff?? Is it a heavy work? I never seen you outside for 3 days either I ever seen your saviour but i hope this 'saviour ' is not using you since you're nice"

Mc try to make saeran look into her eyes but he keep avoiding her eye contact. She keep feeling fishy about this saviour and saeran action make her curiosity increase more.

"I'm sorry, i really don't remember.. I think it's the curse."

Saeran try to run away from answering her but she let him go, she believe that if it was the curse fault, there is nothing she can do about it.
Saeran keep apologise to her and she accept his apology.

" i know i already told you that i lost all my memories due to this curse. All i was told from my saviour is that my name is saeran and i have a older brother. I don't know where his whereabouts is but i miss him"

Saeran give her a sorrowful face and mc keep trying to comfort him. Mc took a glance at the daisy flower saeran give to her before and secretly she started to pray..
