No one knew how long it had been going on. No one could remember when exactly the innovations had started in the girls changing room. It had been years since they last changed there. Kyara, as one of the few still made use of the toilets of the changing room.
She passes the big, dark and dusty mess the old room has become and walks on to the poorly lit bathroom. She takes her time, gym was her last lesson anyway. As she washes her hands she sees her crush that has come in the ex-girls changing room to check out what has changed. He walks into the dark area and Kyara observes him slowly dissapear while she dries her hands on her harlem pants.
She points her ears at the sound of keys, but she doesn't immidiately react, thinking it was just Ethan, but then she realises. Before she has thought the last words of the sentence her hand goes for her bag and her legs for the door. The door closes in front of her and the sound of the closing lock confirmes. Kyara yells and pounds on the door saying that she's still in there and that they have have to reopen the door, but it doesn't help.
Ethan appears again: "I don't think that will do much good.", he says approaching with his hands in his pockets.
For the first time Kyara really looks at him face on and she replies: "You have a better idea?"
"Well yeah, let's just wait till they come and get us once they realise we're missing.", he answers shrugging and goes to lean against the white wall.
"If that's your idea I'm going to continue, I don't want to be locked in here till tomorrow.", Kyara starts pounding on the door again.
"You don't believe they'll notice you're missing. Don't worry, my class will and they will come and get me." Annoyed Kyara denies his reply and looks into the darkness that fills the rest of the old changing room.
"Did they make an exit at the other side?", she asks Ethan.
"I didn't go to the end because I heard you scream like you were locked in here with a sadistic serial killer ."
Kyara turns to Ethan, looks at him and sights. She wipes off the dust from a little table next to the door and turns to sit on it, facing Ethan. She opens her mouth to say something, but closes it again, changing her mind.
"What?", Ethan asks.
"Nothing.", she responds dryly without looking at him.
"Just say it, we might as well talk if we're locked in here together."
Kyara takes a moment where she looks at him and then says: "I was just thinking how my friends were right about you being an asshole."
"You talk about me with you're friends?", Ethan smirks. Annoyed Kyara rolls her eyes and mutters: "And of course it had to be you.", as she pulls one leg up against her chest on the table.
"Could you talk to me please? I know you don't have that many friends, so I don't blame you for not knowing, but when you have a conversation with someone else you're supposed to talk clearly to the other."
A pause follows in which Kyara's blood starts to boil. Controlling her irritation she stands up and walks slowly to Ethan: "Okay, I will say this very clearly. And I hope you get that good in that shithead of yours...", she says with each step, but then she changes her mind and says: "Nevermind.", before punching him firmly in the jaw. Her blood pressure decreases again and she turns around to walk back to the little table, but then she feels two strong hands on her bare skin between her harlem pants and her croptop.
The hands push her against the white wall. With his red jaw Ethan looks angrily at her, coming very close to hiss: "You don't get to punch me in the face just like that. If you weren't a girl you'd already be dead."
"Seriously, you don't scare me. Get off me.", Kyara wants to push him aside to get out of his grip, but he pushes her back, harder this time, against the wall causing her head to hit the wall hard. She is just able to see the white dust on the ground once more before her vision blackens and her head starts spinning badly. Ethan's arms push her up against the wall, but Kyara can't seem to find her balance. She holds onto Ethan to avoid falling to the ground as her head hurts a lot and she sees nothing but black.
