Monday morning I was staring out my window. Only to see grey clouds strolling past. I wondered how long it's been since my Grandmother's funeral. I didn't really care for the sympathy that my relatives piled onto me. With me being eight years old and all, they probably thought it might have a bad outcome. The feeling was neutral. Funerals are supposed to be a place of mourning. The funeral happens in Sylvania, Ohio my birth town. That place brought back lots of memories. Which made it hard to go back for something so terrible.

My dad & I were very sad to hear the news of her death. With sorrow filled hearts we got plane tickets and flew over to Ohio. Even though the occurrence was gloomy everyone that met at the house was quite calm and cheerful. This was as though they were just going through the motions.

The buzzing sound was comforting. I hate it when places are silent because it makes it feel as though the world is closing in on me. Examining the place that I haven't seen in years it looked pretty nice and unique as it has always been. When we entered the house the relatives that inside gave my dad their condolences.

Then the next day we had a family funeral for family only. After that, we went home and hoped that the next day would fly by like lightning. I could already feel depression taking over. The next day came and I felt very sick. My head hurt and I was freezing. Since I couldn't go to the funeral. I decided to just stuff my face and fall asleep. In deep sleep, a dream started to form. A figure appeared and called out to me.

"Pumpkin.Pumpkin."

I started to cry because only one person ever called me that and I knew that she was no longer with me. But I screamed out to the blurry figure.

"You can't leave me p-please do-don't leave!'

She moved farther away as I tried to get closer. Her face was unrecognizable but I knew that face so well how can I not see it. I was so frustrated. Then the figure came closer and wrapped its arms around my trembling body. The figure spoke in a voice that I can't explain how it would change my life.

"Listen to me. You are very strong and you can be sad because of this event but don't doubt your ability to do great things.

 Ok?"

In a stuttering voice, I reply.

" I-i miss you so mu- much. P-please don't le-leave me a-alone. "

(the figure talking)

" You won't be alone as long as the moon is in the sky. I'll always be there for you."

My eyes flutter open in shock I stare at the ceiling. Right then and there I knew my life ended and begun again. As they lowered her coffin into the grassy meadow graveyard. The world stopped and went into slow motion.
