Chapter Nine - Strange Feelings

Katy came off the stage, happier than what she was before going on. But she had to get Russell out of her head for a while, just for the next few weeks until everything calms down again. Katy hugged all the crew and bandmates for her lovely surprise on stage. After thanking them all, Katy made her way to her dressing room, but seen two people laughing down the hall. As she's always been nosey, Katy made her way down to the two individuals, and saw Mia and Laura talking away to each other. Katy could feel her nerves starting to get the better of her, but she put it to the back of her mind and went up and gently touched Mia's shoulder, feeling that wave like motion again.

**Mia's POV**

"Omg, Mia, Katy is right behind you. Omg she's coming right towards us!" Suddenly, Mia felt a gentle touch that made her spine shiver. She turned to see Katy smiling the perfect smile. "Hey guys! What did you's think of the show then?" Mia couldn't believe Katy was talking to them. "Yeah you were absolutely amazing Katy. And the dancing on stage? Was amazing. Everything was amazing!" Laura ranted to Katy, but Katy looked into Mia's eyes with a smile, but clueless look, with Mia looking directly back at her. It was this energy that seemed so weird, but again seemed so right. Mia finally came out of her daze with Katy and agreed with Laura. "It was a day I'll never forget." Mia said honestly with a smile, which made Katy smile even more.

"Well I've got meet and greets to go get ready for, so I will see you's then? Get to talk more?" Katy winked at Mia and then walked off, feeling like there was something that connect her and Mia, but she couldn't tell.

"Okay, Mia, we need to get our make up all nice and ready for this photograph with Katy and then we're all going out for her party thanks to Tam!" Mia couldn't help but to think of what Katy was thinking. Why is there energetic shots rushing through me everytime she touches me? Why is there I feel like there's chemistry there? Maybe it's because she's famous, it's only nerves.

**Katy's POV**

"I'm definitely not gay, like I know I'm still in love with Russell. Maybe I'm just confused. But there is definitely something between me and Mia." Katy couldn't stop thinking about Mia during the time she was getting ready for the Meet and Greets. Katy was finally ready to go, so Tamra led her down the hall to where the candy filled room was. It looked amazing, with candyfloss and sweets all over the place, and also Scott, one of Katy's dancers, keeping everyone entertained while they were waiting for Katy to come out, dressed up as Kitty Purry.

Katy stepped into the room, putting a smile on her face seeing everyone who had paid extra money just to meet her, she felt privilegded to be in the position she was in now, even if her personal life was going downhill.

Katy invited the first guest up, who looked about five or six and gave her a hug, She got pictures with her and gave her another hug before saying goodbye. Katy seen around another ten people, before noticing that Mia and Laura were next to be seen. Katy got the butterfly, nervous feeling in her stomach and invited them on up when the other group of people had left.

**Mia's POV**

Katy looked so beautiful in her ice cream dress. She can literally pull anything off. Me and Laura were next to be seen, and Katy noticed as she looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and then waited for our turn. She finally called us up and I felt the sick feeling again I had in my stomach. Was it nerves, or was I really attracted to Katy? I know I say I would turn for her if I ever had a chance, but I didn't think I really would.

"Hey guys, again. Sorry about the wait, it's always crazy at these things." I smiled at Katy's apologetic look. "Hey, don't worry we're fine waiting, it was worth it to see you again." I noticed Katy blushing a tiny bit, wondering what was going on in her head. I wanted to tell Katy about going to see her after this, but since Tamra said it was a surprise, I guess I can't ruin it. It wouldn't be fair.

We talked to Katy for a few minutes before Tamra told us we really had to go, but gave me the approval look of being able to head on down to the night club. I had to pretend to Katy like I wasn't going to see her again.

"Katy, thank you so much for everything you did for us. My birthday present couldn't have gotten much better than this night. It will be a night I will never forget." Katy went and pulled me in for a hug, fireworks seemed to be firing up from all over the place. When we pulled out of the hug, Katy quickly pecked my cheek, and whispered in my ear. "I wished we had longer to talk Mia, but thank you for being with me here tonight."

We took our signed goodies and walked out off the room, with Tamra telling us to go down and she will catch up with us shortly. But what did Katy mean about having longer to talk?
