"Dr. Alex Baden and Dr. Lily Vanderlann, please report to SCP-7889's containment cell. That will be all." The voice over the intercom. Alex rolls over on his twin size bed to look at the clock.

"What the Hell? Why would Dr. Johann possible need us at three o'clock in the freaking morning?" Alex said as he saw the red luminescent numbers. He quickly changed out of his sleep pants and threw on his shirt and pants, threw on his lab coat, and grabbed his tie, clipboard, and keycard. He mumbled to himself as he tied his tie and walked through the bland white hallways of the facility.

"I was having a good dream too. It's too early. Maybe I can get a hour or two more after this is over. Another week and I can take a few vacation days." Alex mumbled to himself all the way to the containment cell. He looked at his clipboard to read over the file on 7889 again.

"Object Class, Euclid. Description, black substance, same consistency as tar. In a constant churning motion, as if being stirred. Anything placed into 7889's tank will begin to disappear as if digestion is happening." Alex read. he continued skimming until he reached the door to 7889's cell. He swiped his keycard and the door opened.

"Ah, Dr. Baden, so nice of you to join us." Dr. Johann says, "If I'm not mistaken the page went out ten minutes ago, its only a five minute walk, what took you so long?"

"Well it takes a few minutes to put clothes on, and my reaction time isn't the best at three in the morning." Alex responded.

"Yeah, I can see that. Nice shoes Alex." Lily Vanderlann said as she walked into the room. Alex immediately looked down to see that he had put his slippers on by mistake. Alex's face blushed and when he saw Lily stifle a laugh he tried to cover it up.

"You like them? I personally don't like the shade, but I'm sure you have a better scene of fashion than me so maybe I'll keep them." Alex responded.

"Alright you two, we need to get started we don't know how long this will last." Dr. Johann said. "SCP-7889 has stopped moving. We're going to test whether the motion helps with the digestion of objects." All three of the scientists moving to the chamber and begin using the elevator system to lower objects into SCP-7889's containment cell.

"That's all of the inanimate objects, lets start with the animals. Bring in the squirrel!" Dr. Johann shouted. A D class personal opens the door holding a cage with a squirrel inside. The D class enters, freezes, drops the cage and runs out. "I'll remind you failure to follow orders will result in termination!"

"Dr. Johann, I think you need to take a look at this!" Lily shouts, concern visible on her face.

"What is it Lily?" Dr. Johann asks, he looks at where Lily is pointing, right behind Alex's head. "Oh,  Alex, don't move. I'm going to go notify a containment team." Dr. Johann began to leave the room. Alex slowly turned around to see 7889 had formed a wave behind him. The wave began to move toward Dr. Johann as he moved.

"Dr. Johann look out!"Alex shouted. He turned to see the wave moving towards him. Alex turned to see another wave moving towards him, he heard Dr. Johann shout something but couldn't make it out the wave was only about a foot away, but his legs wouldn't move. Alarms started blaring, the wave was practically on top of him. He heard muffled shouting and then, the wave consumed him and silence and darkness filled the room.

"We can't just leave him! Lily shouted

"I'm not opening this door until the containment team arrives. Dr. Johann responded.

"But if we don't open it he'll die!"

"But how many more will die if we open the door and 7889 escapes. I'm sorry I'm not jeopardizing this whole facility for one man. I'm sorry." Lily and Dr. Johann continued like this for a few minutes before releasing that 7889 had begun to melt through the door. Dr. Johann ran to the breach alarm and pressed it.

"Attention all staff, SCP-7889 has breached containment. Please  head to your designated safe zone and site security will begin escort you out. I repeat SCP-7889 has breached containment." The pre recorded voice said.

"Come on Lily, we have to go."

"I'm not leaving unless we get Alex."

"If we wait any longer we'll be dead, we're not going to do any good then."

"Fine." Lily grudgingly agreed. Lily and Johann ran through the halls until they reached the safe zone where they were escorted out by security to a waiting helicopter with the SCP Foundation logo on the door.

Alex looks at the turquoise water. He thinks he's on vacation somewhere in the Caribbean. He looks over to see Lily sitting  next to him se looks back at him and smiles. She opens her mouth to say something.

"Dr. Alex Baden, you need to wake up." But it wasn't her voice. It was the voice of a man, just coming from Lily's body. The voice continued before suddenly, it was all gone. The sky, the water, the beach, Lily, all of it, and instead Alex saw the face of a man in a uniform standing over him.

"Good, you're awake. We thought you were dead. Anyway come on we've got a chopper waiting for you." The soldier said, while motioning for Alex to follow him. Alex tried to get up but his vision blurred and he fell down again. He tried again slower this time, and succeeded. He followed the soldier through the halls of the facility.

     "What happened here?" Alex asked

"7889 broke containment and rampaged through the facility." The soldier responded.

"Wait a minute, who are you?"

"MTF Epsilon-11, Nine Tailed Fox. Sgt.  Augustus Wood."

"Wait, why do these guards have bullet wounds? 7889 cant use guns."

"We had a little problem with Chaos Insurgancy, your lucky I got to you first." The two continued to walk through the halls of the now abandoned facility before reaching the door to the outside. When Sgt. Wood opened the door and Alex saw the helicopter, he didn't notice that where the Foundation logo should be, was a red dot with lines coming out of it. He didn't notice until he had boarded the helicopter that he would notice that he had just boarded a Chaos Insurgacy helicopter.
