"Interest in Leonardo and his work has never diminished. Crowds still queue to see his best known artworks, T-shirts still bear his most famous drawing, and writers continue to hail him as a..."
Man, I'm trying my best to concentrate this year but Mr Hugh is making it hard to. Hes been blabbering about Leonardo Da Vinci for like a week now.
If I hear him say one more word I might actually throw my table at him, but that wouldn't end well for the both of us, so I take a deep breath, tune him out, and doodle on my table.
"God when will this end" I mumbled to myself and turned my wristwatch on my right hand towards me so I can check the time.
5 more minutes.
Thank god this hell is almost ov-
"Kevin." Called out a loud voice I identified as Mr Hugh. I looked up and saw everyones attention on me.
"Yes sir?" I said trying to keep my cool
"Am I boring you?" He asked with one hand on his chin and the other under his arm as if asking me a genuine question.
I wanted to reply with a yes but I held myself.
"No sir." I lied after a moment of silence.
He gave out a little obnoxious chuckle.
I don't know what Mr Hughes problem with me is, the guy hates me. I'm honestly not in the mood for him right now, its taking every muscle in my body to keep myself calm.
"I don't think I have to remind you about how you did last year, Mr Kevin. If your grades continue dropping like this, you're going to end up being a cashier."
Thats it, I can't take it anymore.
"I'd still earn a salary higher than yours, sir." I blurted out.
The whole class stared at me in shock and started to make sounds that resembled a group of raving chimpanzees
Mr Hugh banged his fist on the table 3 consecutive times.
"QUIET." He shouted, his face red with anger. The class silenced, if someone were to drop an eraser the sound would be evident.
"Leave my class right now, go to the principles office." He said in a low voice.
"Mr Hugh I'm sorry I just-"
"Leave." He said cutting me off, a vein popping out on the side of his forehead.
In fear of being murdered by Mr Hugh, I got off my seat, grabbed my bag and left the class.
It honestly felt good saying that to Mr Hugh. He often passes rude comments at me but I keep my cool. However, today I wasn't in the mood and he coerced me into saying what I said.
I made my way down the empty hallway towards the principles office. I looked back at the other end of the hallway where the exit was located.
What if I just leave the school right now and go home. No one would see me leave and no one would notice, will except for Mr Hugh..
Am I really thinking about whether to go to the principles office or leave right now?
If I leave right now I'll get into more trouble than I already am but I-
My thoughts were interrupted by the violent ringing of the school bell. Students started to swarm the halls.
Well I guess that narrows down my choices. I continued making my way to the principles office.
"I hope I don't get expelled." I sighed to myself as I arrive to the front of principle Prestons office.
I placed my left hand in my bags strap on my left shoulder and raised the other and knocked the door.
"Come in." Said a voice on the other side of the door. I entered the office and saw principle Preston sitting on an office chair behind a large desk with reading glasses at the edge of his nose.
"Ah, Mr Kevin, what brings you hear?" He asked taking off his reading glasses and placing them on his desk.
"Uh," I started but was interrupted by the sound of the door opening.
I looked behind me and saw a furious Mr Hugh enter the room. He stood beside me and crossed his arms facing the principle.
"Mr Hugh," started the principle looking at me and back at Mr hugh noticing his anger.
"What seems to be the matter?"
Mr Hugh started explaining what happened to the principle but I wasn't listening, I tuned him out.
I looked at my watch, 20 minutes left. It was the last period of the day and I just couldn't wait to go home.
"Mr Kevin." Called out Mr Preston, judging by the shocked looked on his face, I'm guessing Mr Hugh finished telling him the story.
Oh boy I'm in trouble.
This is going to be a long 20 minutes.
