Guardians

They're staring at me,

Small bright eyes covering the summit,

They're watching me,

Tracking every moment from when the sun sets to when it rises,

They don't blink you see,

They never seem to fade,

They see everything I see,

Everything I am,

Perhaps even everything I'll be,

They respect my decisions,

And what I want to be,

These eyes however,

Hold no ill intent,

More like silent guardians,

To an extent,

Than a sinister crowd,

They're up there in the sky,

Looking after me,

So don't you dare cry,

When I leave,

For when I go

I'll join them,

And watch you grow.
