the universe thrusts you a microphone and shouts, "go! sing!"
the thing is,
you don't know the lyrics
or the tempo
there's no conductors or band members or orchestra to cue you in
you're terrified.
but, life doesn't always give you answers, and you don't always get a hint.
and if you fuck up, no one will know but you
because it's your solo, your stage,
and you're the star.
so close your eyes
take a deep breath
and perform
