Midnight Magic

Prologue

The first thing I remember is my mom leaving me. She is a calico with green eyes, named Eliza. We lived near a village until I was old enough to take care of myself, then she took me into the nearby forest and left me there. Then she walked away without saying goodbye. That was the last I saw of her, for a while.

When I found her again, she was in my forest, dying. She had come to tell me goodbye, tell me I had a sister, and explain why she left me. She said that she was superstitious, and that black cats with green eyes, like me, were supposed to be "evil" and "magical". So my father told her to take me into the forest and leave me there. After she passed away, I buried her and went to find my father. I went to the Village and asked for a tom, named "Tom", and got lead to a black cat like me. He thought I was going to kill him, so he begged for mercy, and I dealt with him quickly. I just glared at him with rage in my eyes and he crumpled to the ground... I killed him with my mind. I was no longer "no name" I was now "Midnight".

I head back to my forest to visit my mother's grave, only to find out that she is no longer there... She is missing. I know that a badger or a fox didn't get her, because there is no blood. She is just gone. I'm starting to think she wasn't dead, just passed out. So I search my territory and don't find her. I think she went back to the Village. I don't bother going to find her and instead I look for other cats.

I have spotted another black cat around my territory, and it had a red hood on its head. This she-cat had beautiful blue eyes, but she didn't see me. She looked around the same age as me. I suddenly remembered my mother telling me I had a sister, that she had been abandoned as well, with a red cloth. My sister had black fur with our father's blue eyes. I think that she-cat was my sister...
