"when the sun releases control to the moon,
i feel everything rush through my eyes.
all my unknown and indescribable feelings falling down my cheeks.
all the hidden secrets whispered through trembling lips to the only one that listens.
the pain intensifies,
crawling from the hollow area in my soul and up,
breaking out in broken sobs.
weak fingers clutch a momento,
burying the aching cries in the softness of the material.
when the sun releases control to the moon,
i feel dizzy as all my strength drains away,
leaving me alone with the raging demons.
rushed and distorted voices reminding me,
urging me to let go.
but a gentle silver light highlights my room,
pale fingertips touching my face.
in their wake,
they leave a sense of comfort and stability,
a quiet i'm here, you aren't alone etched into my skin.
the feelings run dry and though the pain still echoes and howls in my chest,
it quiets considerably as i watch the moon.
the comfort it left me,
lulling me to sleep."
