Chapter 16: His Past

CHRIS' P.O.V.

It's already 7pm at need ko umabot ng curfew hours ni Mina so we decided to go home.

Nalimutan ko hindi ko pala siya nabigyan ng inumin kanina! Medyo malamig pa naman.

Buti na lang may madadaanang coffee shop dito.

"Mina, I'll buy something to drink. Natapon ko kasi kanina."

She just nodded and looked back at the window.

Pagod? Maybe, or may bumabagabag sa utak niya?

I proceeded to go to the shop and bought hot chocolate for the both of us.

Hindi ko kasi alam kung umiinom siya ng kape. Ako naman hindi talaga ako nainom nun.

When I went back the car, she was sound asleep.

Pinatong ko na yung mga inumin sa cup holder at nilagyan siya ng jacket and kissed her forehead.

Just to know that she's safe when she's with me.

Nagpatuloy na ako sa pagmamaneho ko.

All I see is her face smiling at me. Nararamdaman niya rin kaya tong pakiramdam na to? For me?

I remember the first time she told me that she love me or like me...

*FLASHBACK

Kausap ko yung friend ko that time. Wala ako sa mood. I was stressed. Stress sa house and sa school.

If I'm not mistaken it was Valentine's Day at dahil dun ang daming mga babaeng lumalapit sakin. Mga babaeng gusto lang ako dahil sa itsura ko.

Binigyan lang nila ako ng sakit ng ulo and then Mina came to me.

"Uhm... hi..." -mina

"Oh, Mina. Ikaw pala."

"Pwede ba kita makausap? In private?" -mina

She looked really serious and nervous at the same time.

"Pwede bang dito na lang? Medyo.... busy kasi."

"Chris! GUSTO KITA!!" -siya

Of course, I was shocked and its not the right time for this kind of confession. May problem pa ako kay Dad.

Nagkatinginan samin yung mga estudyante. Sinigaw ba naman niya.

"aah.. hmm.. haha.. oops." 

Oh no, bigla akong natawa. Sh*t sorry, Mina.

I have to say something!

"Thank you, Mina pero isa ka kasing adik."

Really, Chris? Yan ang lumabas sa bibig mo? Great. Ngayon magagalit na siya sakin.

"Ah?.. adik?..." -mina

Kailangan ko ng panindigan to. CHRIS YOU'RE A JERK.

Tinuro ko ang shirt niya. Wala namang kaso sakin paglalaro niya.

Kasi ako din ay isang 'adik'.

"Sige alis na ko ha? Bye Mina."

YUN NA ATA ANG PINAKAMABABAW NA EXCUSE!

While I was walking away, ramdam ko yung sadness niya.

I'm so sorry, Mina pero I really can't take your confession seriously.
