Heath Burns sucked- like really and truly sucked.

The fire elemental was a menace, like an annoying bug who kept buzzing back no matter how much she swatted at it. She was sick of that smug, tilted grin and fire-hair and bright red (devil red, she thinks, because that's what he is - a devil) eyes and high, squeaky, not-having-hitten-puberty-yet voice. She'd never been a violent or vindictive person, but Heath was somehow able to bring out that monster in her that was usually tucked tightly away. She covered her inner-vampire with her friendly personality; sugar-sweet smiles and outgoing personality and the ability to somehow make friends with everyone. So, when Heath had first come to Monster High, she'd treated him with the same amount of friendliness (and maybe a little more -- she still couldn't fathom the fact that she'd actually had a crush on him --) that she gave to all the other monsters in school (except for Torelai and her possy; they'd bullied her since middle school after all) and had come to regret the decision about a week later. The persistent boy wouldn't. leave her. alone. and it was driving her barmy!

He had been bothering her relentlessly, ever since he found out that she had a crush on him weeks prior (thank you, Frankie, for your big mouth!). Of course, that fleeting interest had dissolved as she realized his true personality, but it seemed he wasn't one to take no for an answer, no matter how many times she said it. Heath had only been at Monster High for a month, maybe a week or two more at most, and despite the limited time they were in vicinity (Physical Deadication class and whenever they saw each other in passing), he found it his mission, no, his sole goal in life, to flirt with her every chance he got.

At first, the attention had been endearing. She'd never been used to such from a boy and he had usually set her alight with pinkening cheeks and light giggles. It wasn't soon till the flirting turned a bit too risque and his childish, preteen-like personality was revealed. Her subtle attraction had turned into thinly veiled annoyance that had her lying in bed, listening to the dings from her phone as he texted her relentlessly, and wondering what she had seen in him in the first place. It'd been a revelation, like an epiphany, realizing what a douche he was.

She shook her head, the white noise of other students around her filling her ears as she tugged her books from her tote bag, standing on the very tips of her toes to shove them haphazardly into her locker and hurriedly grabbing the ones for her next lesson. She sighed from the exertion as she put them into her bag, curling a piece of hair that had gotten loose from her pigtail behind her ear. She closed the locker as she swung her bag onto her shoulder before jumping at the sight of Heath leaning against the metal door of the locker next to hers.

Draculaura let out a tired, exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes as Heath smirked at her, holding out a pretty (she could admit it was quite beautiful even if she didn't like him) pink flower he had snagged off a passing plant monster. It could've been sentimental, quite cute actually, if he had actually, you know, bought the flower himself, but her frown only deepened as the unsuspecting ghoul walked away, not knowing that a major douche had just snapped one of her vines in an attempt (very bad attempt) at seduction.

He twisted the stem of the flower between his fingers, his stupid, stupid grin not lessening in the slightest. "Change your mind about going to the dance with me?" The tone in which he said it could've been found cute in that shy, awkward, adorable nerd type of way, but that everlasting smirk that played on his lips ruined the image. Draculaura frowned up at him, tilting her head back to see him properly. She wished she was just a bit taller, as despite him being one of the shorter guys he was still a good four inches taller than she was, even in her heels.

Her eyes narrowed in disbelief at the audacity, and she had to force her voice not to come out as a growl. "No."

"What about now?"
