The last shapeshifter

Run In, Chapter 1

Mandy loves seeing Noah like this, sprawled across his bed. His short hair dangling around his face. He looked just as he did last year, when she met him as a transfer from a Perth school.

She was running late for class and ran into him in the hallway and when she bent down to pick up her stuff he was already down there helping her. When she saw his face she saw just how pretty he was, there was just something about him that was so fascinating. He had straight brown hair slicked back and tan skin with a few freckles across his nose.

He looked at me in that hallway and said "Are you alright?, you sure hit me pretty hard, where you heading?. Mandy stammered "I..I am just... late". Stupid, Stupid what am I saying she thought. "So your alright?, I can try to find the school nurse if your not". Mandy found her words then, blurting out "I'm fine, I'm just really late for class and we had this assignment due, I just need to get there".

"Wow wow slow down, what room are you in?". "Room 2" Mandy said as she slowed down her voice.He checked a piece of paper, which Mandy saw looked like a time table with a map of the school which meant he was a new kid because no one just carries those around besides the people who don't know where there going."Well it looks like I'm in room 3 so would you like me to walk you?, or I guess you can walk me since this map is so confusing". Mandy started walking before she said "I'd love too, now are you coming, I'm still in a rush".

He ran after her and said "I'm Noah by the way, I'm a transfer from Perth,I'm 19, what about you?". "Mandy, 17, from Sydney, you're a bit old aren't you?". He looked at me and said "What are you doing in Melbourne then?". Mandy looked back him and said "I could ask you the same thing". Mandy didn't feel like talking about her family and her house to a stranger. Her mother always told her 'not to trust strangers'.

"Hey are you still there?, what are you thinking about?", she was immediately snapped out of her thought and quickly replied "nothing".

Mandy then arrived at her class and they separated.

Noah groaned from his bed and said "Stop staring at me, I'm trying to sleep and your freaking me out". Mandy said "sorry, I'll leave". She started out the door when he quietly said "Stay, please". So she went back to the bed and laid down next to him."Thank you", Noah said quietly. I shut my eyes and fell asleep.

Since that day in the school hallway Mandy had been friends with Noah, sitting next to each other in the cafeteria and helping each other in the classes that they shared, they even had the occasional sleepover just like this one.

Since school was now over she was planning to go to university but had been busy and decided to wait after tonight. Tonight was her 18th birthday and Noah had suggested she come over to his house to celebrate, and so she did.

They where best friends and there had never been any secrets between them, they told each other everything. Or so she thought?

Sorry this chapter is really short I will start making them longer if you like it.
