Jane used to go to a nice coffee shop every Sunday to get her papers done in peace. She has never dated anyone and never fallen in love before. She's actually 21 and she's still figuring out her way through English Studies.
She has been waiting for hours for her casual breakfast: Large coffee and pancakes with grilled sausages. So she decided to call out the waiter as she felt so hungry.
For her surprise, Adam is no longer working there and it's someone called Brian who took over. He was nice and cute and Jane felt incredibly nervous around him. They had since dated for 5 years now. He was the first man she ever loved.
They haven't seen each other for almost 2 weeks. She is now working at a publisher's office and he's trying to become a well known artist. She decided to go to his apartment and surprise him with a nice Chinese food and a couple of beers.
She wanted to spend time together with him because he has been distant.
Brian grew up with no parents and has lived alone for most of his live. He is 2 years older than Jane and they have always dreamt about travelling the world together and becoming famous artist and writer.
As she had the keys she didn't need to knock on the door. She was so excited to meet him and distract him for the night.
As she walked into his small apartment she saw him across the room, another women was on his arm. She didn't know what to feel or what to say. It was like some huge skyscrapers were crushing down inside her body, and some strong explosions happening inside her brain. She felt betrayed.
Without saying a single word, she decided to leave his apartment and be alone for the night.
She couldn't believe that the first man she ever loved chose to cheat on her when they were only few steps closer to getting married and building a family.
She felt a huge anger growing inside of her and saw only darkness, she began having some shady thoughts thinking that the only thing that could turn off the fire she felt in her heart would be revenge.
She has never thought that she would come to this point of her life. She has seen him there standing across his room and making out with another women. For the rest of the night she had felt like if someone was putting knives right thought her chest, and then pulling them with no pity.
The following days, Brian kept calling her and sending her messages trying to meet up with her. But she kept ignoring him as she wasn't ready to look at his face. She finally got it all straight in her head, she texted him and asked him to meet in her apartment this evening.
She left work thirty minutes early and run to her apartment. She had everything ready.
Jane managed to get her father's revolver that he used to put in his office. She didn't try to think about what she is willing to do. She was so angry. Her hands were trembling and her tears were running down her cheeks. She is about to do what she has never thought she'd do : Kill a human being.
Around 8pm, someone was knocking on the door. It was probably Brian as he was the only person she was expecting to see that night. She put the revolver in the back pocket of her jeans and went to open the door.
She made sure to look all put together and pretty that night. It wasn't from her intention to seduce him but this is what she felt like doing.
She opened the door and Brian smiled at her. He was sad and felt awkward around her, as it was the first time they'd see face to face after he has been caught cheating on her. She whispered a smooth "hello" and invited him in.
He sat on the gray couch and asked her to join him. He wanted to explain the whole situation and why he had to do what he did.
Before he even opens his mouth, she put the revolver right behind his head and shouted: "Screw you" then pulled the trigger.
There was a lot of blood and Brian was dead right after few seconds. She was shocked and stood there watching him take his last breaths. Somehow, she regretted killing him because she felt the need to know why. Why he had to cheat on her when they already had everything? Or so she thought.
