CAHPTER 1

<<third person pov>>

xiana is in the canteen eating when mike appeared

"hey, want some?" mike said while sitting beside xiana

"nah, i'm good" xiana

"really?"

"yeah"

"okay" a minute of silence occur

*xiana clears throat*

"i think i'm not the one who has a problem. it's you mike, am i right?"

"me? no, i think it's you." mike refusing himself

"mike, i know you very well because we're best friends; i know that there's something bothering you. Now tell me, what is it?"

mike paused and mumbled to himself

"Can i tell you that i love you more than best friends?"

"of course, there's none. why did you think so?" mike answered after a few momments.

"because you only eat cake when something is bothering you" xiana

"No,it's not really like that. i'm eating a piece of cake right now because i'm craving for one" mike, please work , please work mike said in his mind

"oh! come on, we both know you're lying!" xiana said while pouting

i hate it when she do that, she made my heart pound out of my chest

"I am not!okay?" mike said while pinching kyla's cheeks.

from a distance, troy approached. troy is xiana's long time lover and troy's best buddy

"hi babe,  what's up bro?" troy greeted.

"yow" mike greeted back

"are we going now?" xiana asked her boyfriend.

"going where?" troy asked confused.

"But... you promised.."

"that?" troy asked.

"*sigh* Never mind" xiana replied and flashed a forced smile.

"Okay. Anyways, i have a practice game in the gym and i have to go." troy informed them and kissed xiana's forehead.

"But -" xiana said and frowned.

"i'll see you once we finish our practice." troy cut her off.

"okay,take care... I love you..." xiana said but troy didn't reply.

instead he just bid goodbye to the two.

xiana felt a great ache from the inside and it's killing her.

she's so disPpointed on how troy acted earlier, he was actually a sweet loving boyfriend , and he will do anything to his girlfriend happy; it's one of the reason why xiana fell in love with him,she remembered the day that he promised he will never break her heart and then she started to wonder if he's still willing to keep that promise.

"i know xiana that it's your birthday today,he promised that you two will go out right?" mike

tears fell in her eyes when she here the words of mike

"there, there, i'm here now, i can make you happy if you will let me join you to celebrate your day?" trying to comfort her

"you see, troy is a very bussy man , you knew it, try to understand her maybe there's something important he should do, okay? so cheer up, i don't want to see you crying " mike

trying to comfort her in mikes mind

oh that should be very important! *grin*

"come on now, no time to waste" mike said while wipping the tears in xiana's eyes

"thank you mike" xiana flashed a smile that is jewel

"there, your beautiful when you smile" mike

"i love you so much mike my best friend! thank you for being here by my side always" xiana said while hugging mike

mike was stunned when xiana hugged him, he hugged back and said into his mind he can already die right now

"cmon let's go" mike said after recovering

they went to the mall they watched movies , eat in a fine dine restuarant, play arcade games, they enjoyed the mall

"oh! it's 8 o'clock, xiana , let's go home, your parents might looking for you now" mike said but deep inside he don't want to end this

"okay" xiana replied

they walked towards the exit of the mall when suddenly xiana stopped.

"xiana, is there something wrong?" mike

he noticed xiana's sudden change.

she looked pale and shock.

mike turned his head to the direction where xiana was staring and saw his best buddy busy kissing another girl.

dammit!! i'm goin to kill you troy!!

xiana began running away and her tears started to fall. she ran and ran, not minding neither the people she bumped into nor mike's call. the only thing that kept on playing in her mind was the scene she saw in the parking lot.

*beeeeeeep*

she stopped and saw a car running towards her.

"XIANA!" mike shouted.

before the car had hit her, she felt a great weight toss her by the side.

"M-mike?" she said and started walking towards the body lying on the street

"please help us!!! Call anambulance, p-please!" she cried , people around her is trying there best to call an ambulance

"k-kyla...  please stop crying... i-i said i don't want to see you c-cring!"mike uttered

"*sob* P-please stop talking, you're making your condition worse." she begged

"x-xiana, listen, i... i wan't to tell you that i love you, not as best friend but more than that...xiana first time i saw you, you managed to make my heart beat fast... x-xiana i feel so much happiness when i'm witg you. it's like i am nothing w/o you... x-xiana, you complete me... I love you! please always remember that." mike confesses

"*sob* m-mike"

"shhh... i- i want you to do me a favor... P-please be happy!" he said as he wiped the tears in from xiana's cheek.

"m-mike please hold on...please" she pleaded while crying.

"x-xiana, I-I LOVE YOU" he said as he slowly closed his eyes.

"No! mike, don't leave me! mike!" xiana cried while hugging mike's lifeless body

her tears rapidly made their way down her cheeks as she realized that it was too late...
