Shit, shit I'm late!
Millie thought as her dirty boots hit the concrete floor with every step as she ran down the street, running pass the old park and lake they used to go as little girls. She finally made it onto shimmer street running down to the last house on the road, it was pass midnight so not too many people were outside to see a young girl trying to climb up the window.
"You're late Brown." Her velvet soft voice called out as she popped her head in the room. "Yeah, yeah I don't want to hear it Sink. Rough night with Kelly." Her face softed as she thought about her home life. "Oh sorry didn't mean to shit on you." Her tone sincere and apologetic to which Millie only shrugged at and looked at her ripped up boots. "Whatever, shall we my lady?" Millie joked as she linked her arm with one of the greatest person in her world.
Sadie Sink. Her giggle was one of the most beautiful sounds Millie has ever heard, her smile practically let up the entire dark world. "You dork," She laughed pushing her lightly as they jumped out the window and onto her mother's perfectly cut grass.
Once they were walking down the street, Millie watched the perfect houses with the perfect families inside living their perfect lives. She then looked at Sadie, her perfect soft redhead that curled at the tips to her freckled perfect face with the softest lips know to man, and the prettiest ocean blue eyes ever. Sadie Sink was the definition of perfect.
"You're so fucking perfect Sink." Millie groaned making Sadie laugh as they reached their favorite late night place to go to. Seven-eleven. As they made their way inside, they both smiled at the employee that work the night shift who they grew to love over time. "Oh please, you're probably going to end up just like your mom and marry a lawyer." Sadie chuckled as she grabbed some snacks. "Maybe, what about you? Marry a handsome gang leader?" She teased, putting her hand on her mouth. Millie only sarcastically smiled back, "a girl could dream." She said as she grabbed a bag of chips.
They payed for their food and made their way to the back aisle where they sat down to talk about what's on their mind. "Do you think your mom is ever gonna leave your dad?" She asked quietly, knowing Millie's touching to the subjects of her parents. "I don't know, I assume not someone has to pay for her hangovers." She laughed only to stop a few moments later, shoving candy into her mouth. "If anything happens, come to me and you can live with me forever. Just like we planned." Sadie whispered, smiling as she held onto Millie's hand. "We were six when we made that deal Sads."
Sadie's mood changed as she threw her head back to lead on the wall. "Just because it was eleven years ago doesn't mean you can change the deal."
The two six years old sat in the middle of the field, they were playing tag but that soon got tiring so they decided to just sit and talk. Sadie was drawing while Millie was talking about a dream she had. "One day when we're older. We're gonna live together and be best friends for ever and ever!" Sadie said giggling, "And even after that!" Millie joined in until she heard the rough calls of her father. The young girl with a strong British accent jumped up from the glass and ran over to her father, waving goodbye to Sadie who sat alone now. She looked up at the sky then back at her pencil and paper. It was a drawing of Millie and Sadie holding hands. Well it was a stick figure with short brown hair and another stick figure with red hair.
'Millie and Sadie, bestest friend forever'
