Useless brat!

Blood Seeped through the wound

*Thud*

Kenny wolk up on the hard ground he sat up as tears seeped through his hazy blue eyes.

He sat up straight on the floor beginning to sob knowing no one could hear him or so he thought.

Hilary woke up in the night since she couldn't sleep and got some water and heard soft sobs coming from the basement.

She slowly walked down the stairs seeing a crying Kenny and ran over to him " Kenny are you alright ?" She asked him kneeling in front of him cupping his cheek.

He wiped his tears and looked at her " Yes I'm fine don't worry about me Mrs.Gold" he said a sad smile showing through he was hiding behind his mask of cheer and happyiness.

" don't worry you don't have to hide and you know you can call me mom " she said hugging him close to her chest.

Kenny was breaking his mask cracking.

He took off his mask for now and cried on her shoulder breaking down for once.

" So why are you crying?" She asked calmly.

" just....another nightmare about my parents" he said pulling away from the hug looking down at his lap.

"...do you wanna talk about it sweetie?" She asked pulling his chin up to look at her.

He stayed quiet but looked up at her and sighed.

"In the dream it was my 10th birthday and that was the worst day of my life so I was forced to make dinner as usual and I complained about having to cook on my birthday....it was....the worst decision I could make...." He said choking up from time to time as he spoke.

Hilary wiped his tears as he spoke but didn't interupt.

" i... Was Slapped and....." He sighed as he spoke.

"And I was hit with a wine bottle....i was locked into my room no dinner" he said slipping his mask on slowly.

She tried not to smother him but she helped him off the floor and onto his bed.

" I'm sorry honey but it's just a nightmare I'm here though if you need me" she said smiling kindly.

He smiled back to and sighed but before she went to her room he hugged her like a small child clinging onto there mother.

She smiled back at him and hugged him tight.

She didn't want to let go but she did when he pulled back and she kissed his forehead and took him back to his bed and he laid down on the bed and she placed the blanket around him.

" Goodnight sweetie" she said smiling.
She was almost out of the room until she heard something that melted her heart.

" Goodnight.....mom" he said going to sleep.

The next morning he woke up early and today was officially his birthday christmas.

The golds had his party yesterday so today would be special to him.

He went upstairs seeing the others waiting for him for once.

" Morning " he said tiredly.

" Morning Kenny come on lets get ready for presents " Larry said patting the cushion next to him and Kenny sat next to him and they started.

Becky was first since she was the oldest sibling so she opened it and got a new eyeshadow palette.

Larry was next and he got an exact model of the milenium falcon.
