"Are you sure this is the right way, Skiddo?" Torchic squeaked, bounding over rock and mud as the silent chime of sprinkling rain still covered the terrain softly. Skiddo turned his head towards his accomodates, noticing Torchic's obvious struggle, considering her weakness is water, and the territory itself was drenched from the day's constant rain.

"We're almost there, Torchic," Skiddo beamed, attempting to lift her spirits with his charm.

Heh, cute. Mudkip smiled as the two spoke. At least they're happy.

Skiddo offered for Torchic to ride on his back if she gets any weaker from the downpour, so she doesn't faint (or meet another fate). Once more, Skiddo took the lead as the duo followed along with a mellow pace. They never went over with me where we were going, but neither looks as though they want to tell me yet. Skiddo halted in a field and did his best to sniff the air without rain getting in the way of his senses. Mudkip signalled to Torchic he may take a while, and invited her to sit with him, although the grass was covered in dew. "I'd rather not," Torchic softly apologized. She then walked over to Skiddo and studied what he was doing. His large face was curved upwards and his body was still. He was in an idle stance, the leaves on his body trickled the tiny droplets of water that covered the land. I wonder what he's sniffing.

"So, how about a little hide and seek?" Skiddo suddenly spoke. Torchic flinched, examining the new look of happiness on Skiddo's face. "Sure! Who's gonna go first seeking, though?" Torchic wondered, catching the virus of Skiddo's content look. I know practically nothing of this forest. Plus, I'd rather not be in the open while my trainer still might be out there. He could snatch me when I let my guard down. Mudkip shivered as he remained mute. He silently hoped one of the two Pokèmon saw him and took into account his scared posture. "Mudkip?" Skiddo soon spoke up, bounding towards said Pokèmon. "Are you... scared?" Mudkip slowly nodded, still shaking.

"Ohhh, I get it. You don't wanna be it, huh?" Torchic buried her head into his body, feeling her heat radiate onto his skin. " It's ok, I'll be it, you and Skiddo hide. He'll protect you." Torchic soon lifted herself off of him and gave a quick whisper to Skiddo to give him the plan. After, she backed off to a nearby tree and he walked over, doing the same movement Gogoat had and swept him onto his back, running away to the forest once more.

"Where'd'ya wanna hide?" Skiddo chimed to the Pokèmon on his back. "Krabby Rock? Milotic Cove? Tauros Plains?"

I don't understand any of these landmarks... I grew up in a different forest. Mudkip sighed and quickly surveyed the area before Skiddo impatiently hobbled over to a crevice amidst a few trees. One had fallen and toppled neighboring trees over upon it to create the ideal hiding spot for the kids. Skiddo shoved Mudkip off his back and forced him towards the crevice.

"We can hide 'ere. She'll never guess!" Skiddo boasted. "Wait until she gives up and we boom out like, 'WOW! You got me!' It'll be so funny!"

Mudkip shook his head as he pushed his hind legs onto the dirt and debris around the aforementioned tree huddle and pulled himself into the hole. Smaller than my den, Mudkip frowned. It'll hopefully work if Skiddo isn't decieving me.
