Part 1~ Lonely

~Your POV~

The loud, ear piercing beeping had woken me up from my deep cosy sleep, I lifelessly sat up and threw the alarm at the wall as I mumbled sleepily to myself about how today was gonna suck because today was.. Valentines Day... it was practically a day for the world to show me and all other singles just how sucky my love life really was but still I got up slowly and got ready for work as a detective at the 99th precinct, I had worked there for 2years now. I had grown especially close with Jake Peralta, my best bud from high school, the childish but sweet detective who could always make me feel better when I was down. I had also grown to have feelings for the scary but pretty Rosa Diaz, we both kinda have a unique relationship we would both hang out a lot, I just wished it was more but I had never and still have not got the guts to tell her. I went out of my apartment and walked down to the precinct. I was soon greeted by Jake at the bullpen 'Dude where were you, you totally missed Rosa doing ballet!?It was the weirdest thing I've seen in my life!' I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of the badass in a leather jacket doing girly delicate dancing 'What's so funny?' Rosa asked as she mysteriously appeared right up behind you 'Holy shit you need to stop doing that!' you said as you jumped out of your shit blushing light pink 'I swear Jake if you still are talking about what happened.. I will shoot your fucking brains out' 'Welp.. I gotta go finish some paperwork and avoid being murdered just the usual.. see ya y/n!' Jake quickly walked over to his desk tripping over Rosa's foot stuck out, I couldn't help but smirk and laugh slightly at him and Rosa snorted. 'Here y/n made you some coffee' she handed me the cup her hand lightly brushing against my own 'Thanks Ro-Ro' she quickly rolled her eyes at the nickname but let it go 'No problem' she went back over to her desk and I went over to mine which was beside Rosa's.

~Rosa's POV~

I could see everyone acting all cute and I really wanted to just go to Babylon and throw up like Jake and Amy please stop making out in the break room where we fucking eat! But at the same time I couldn't say much myself as I gazed at y/n all focused on a case, she was pretty adorable when she got all serious, her eyes widened scanning every word, her soft light hair brushed up around her neck as she sipped on the coffee . I turned back around to catch Terry looking at me smiling eagerly, he came up to me 'Oooh I think Rosa is in lovveee, Terry loves love!' 'Terry shut up' 'Aw you try to act all tough but you're just a big softie inside' I was starting to get pissed because I don't want y/n finding out like this so I dragged Terry by the collar to the evidence room and locked the door and grabbed Terry by the throat 'Look Terry I don't want y/n finding out this way people will never stop asking questions so maybe you could just shut up about it and not shout about it in the bullpen where y/n is at please!' I said in a stern and annoyed voice 'Okay okay calm down, sorry' he took my hand off his throat since he was wheezing slightly and left.
