Must Protect (Mika Reyes & Ara Galang)

Vic's POV

As soon as we turn to where the sound is coming from we were met with a confused look from Aby

Oh shit

I slowly moved away from Mika and faced one of my best friend.

Vic : " uhm excuse us, Mika "

She nodded not looking at neither of us while I stood up walking towards Aby and once I got close to her I grab her arm pulling her with me to the backyard where we passed by Kim who is guarding the back door.

I kept walking until I knew we were far enough and as soon as we stop I let her arm go

Aby : " what was that about?! "

Vic : " keep your voice down "

Aby : " no! You know what you're doing is wrong "

Vic : " I know "

Aby : " then why are you doing it?! Huh? "

Vic : " I- "

I struggled to explain why

Aby : " we can lose our job because of what you're doing! "

Vic : " you don't think I know that? I'm fully aware of the risk but I just- I can't help it, okay? I can't I don't know why- she just- I just love her "

I put my face in my hands in frustration. She was taken a back with what I said she kept quiet for a while

Aby : " Vic, I care about you and I never heard you say those words before but this is wrong, this is also dangerous for you and her. You need to do what's right "

After saying those words she left without giving me any chance to speak.

Kim who is standing a few feet from me looks at me concerned I started to walk back to the house where she is and once I reached her.

Kim : " are you okay, Vic? "

Vic : " yeah "

I walked past her in to the house and I saw Mika was still seating where we left her

Mika : " so is everything okay? "

Vic : " uhm yes we just talked "

I sat back down on that chair next to her I took her hand in mine and the mere touch of her hand calmed me down a little.

Mika : " are you sure everything is okay? "

Vic : " don't worry "

I tell her holding onto her hand tighter

I've been over thinking about Mika and I already and now Aby just straight up told me to stop this. Aby is like an older sister to me and to hear those things from her is not making anything better.

Mika's POV

I know just by her face and mood that everything is not okay but I don't want to push her we've just made up and I honestly don't want to stress her out even more.

I noticed her plate of food still on the table

Mika : " you should finish your food "

Vic : " I lost my appetite already "

Mika : " you should eat, babe "

I suggest testing the endearment

She suddenly smiled at me... teasingly

Vic : " okay, babe "

She mocked the way I said the endearment making me roll my eyes at her and let go of her hands as she continue to eat her food.

At least now she's in a better mood.

Few days later...

Still Mika's POV

My family and I are currently in the living room playing some board games when the front door opened and Aljun, Kib and Vic

They have big smiles on their faces

Vic : " good afternoon we have some news for you "

We stopped what we were doing and gave our full attention to them

Aljun : " it's been quiet and sir. Nick is allowing you to go back to Manila now "

My younger siblings cheered obviously very excited to be back with their friends I, on the other hand is happy too because I finally get back to work as well but I'm still very worried.

Vic : " we'll leave early in the morning tomorrow "

Mrs Reyes : " thank you, Vic and to you two as well "

Kib : " you're very welcome, ma'am "

Vic : " if you'll excuse us "

They left through the front door again. My family look very happy with the news I just hope once we do get back everything will be alright.

Mrs. Reyes : " are you okay, nak? "

Mika : " opo, ma "

She patted my shoulder

Mika : " I'm just a little worried "

Mrs. Reyes : " I know me too but you have to trust them, trust Vic "

Mika : " I do trust her "

My mom is right Vic won't let anything happen to us.

This is absolutely rubbish I know :((( this is also super short I'm so sorry!!!

But that's it hopefully the next chapter is better I'm just really not inspired nor do I have ideas but no worries next week is my finals after that It'll be more chill for me
